What is E-commerce? E-commerce is a software and business process which allows businesses to work through internet that is digitally.  The E-commerce applications have various business processes like online fund transfers, marketing, inventory management, supply chain management. E-commerce applications are online business applications where the users sell and buy products Eg:Amazon,Flipkart What are the Types of Ecommerce Applications available in the IT Industry? Business to Business (B2B) Business to Customers (B2C) Customers to Customers (C2C) Customers to Business (C2B) B2B (Business-to-Business) In B2B, companies transact with each other. This includes the companies selling their product to wholesalers, distributors, etc B2C (Business-to-Consumer) This is usually when average businesses transact with the customer. This is done through the shopping cart softwares and the amount involved in the transactions is usually low. C2B (Consumer-to-Business) In this, a consumer places the product on the net. The companies willing to buy this product bid for it. The consumer can then decide, depending upon the bid, which company to sell it to. C2C (Consumer-to-Consumer) These kind of transactions are usually done at an individual level. Payments can be done with the help of online systems like PayPal. How E-commerce Works? When a consumer wants to buy a certain product, he go to the website and selects the product he wants to buy. Once the product is selected, the consumer transaction is moved to the online transaction server where he places an order. The information is exchanged over a secure channel through a private gateway to a processing network. The networked banks accept or reject the transaction. All this happens in just a matter of seconds. eCommerce is a very secure due to the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology. How Testing is crucial in ECommerce? Difference between latent and Masked defect with an Example

02:10
latent Vs Masked defect A latent defect is an existing defect that has not yet caused a failure because the sets of conditions were never met. A latent defect is an existing defect that has not yet caused a failure because the sets of conditions were never met. A masked defect is an existing defect that hasn't yet caused a failure just because another defect has prevented that part of the code from being executed. Let’s imagine that the application is able to print a document either by laser printer or by dot matrix printer. To reach this the application first searches for the laser printer. In the case if it finds a laser printer it uses this one and prints. In the case if it does not find a laser printer, the application searches for dot matrix printer. And if the application finds a dot matrix printer it prints. If the application has bug in searching and printing. So this application will never search for the dot matrix printer. And the application never got tested for the dot matrix printer. That means the accurate conditions were never met for the dot matrix printer. This is what we call a latent software bug. Now the same application has 2 errors: the dot matrix printer search the dot matrix printer print But as the search of the dot matrix printer fails the print dot matrix printer error is never detected. So the print dot matrix printer error is a masked software bug. #Testing #bug #latent #masked #difference

Autonomous/Semi-Autonomous Robots: Any robot that moves, seeks a target, or activates weapons without human control is considered autonomous. If your robot has any autonomous features you are required to contact this event before registration. Autonomous robots must have a clearly visible light for each autonomous subsystem that indicates whether or not it is in autonomous mode. The autonomous functions of a robot must have the capability of being remotely armed and disarmed. (This does not include sensors, drive gyros, or closed loop motor controls.) Batteries and Power The only permitted batteries are ones that cannot spill or spray any of their contents when damaged or inverted. This means that standard automotive and motorcycle wet cell batteries are prohibited. Examples of batteries that are permitted: gel cells, NiCads, NiMh, dry cells, etc. All onboard voltages above 24 Volts require prior approval from this event. (It is understood that a charged battery's initial voltage is above their nominal value). All electrical power to weapons and drive systems (systems that could cause potential human bodily injury) must have a manual disconnect that can be activated within 15 seconds without endangering the person turning it off. (E.g. No body parts in the way of weapons or pinch points.) Shut down must include a manually operated mechanical method of disconnecting the main battery power. Relays may be used to control power, but there must also be a mechanical disconnect. All efforts must be made to protect battery terminals from a direct short and causing a battery fire. All Robots must have a light easily visible from the outside of the robot that shows its main power is activated. Weaponry: Rotational weapons or full body spinning robots are allowed. Hazardous or dangerous materials are forbidden from use anywhere on a robot where they may contact humans, or by way of the robot being damaged (within reason) contact humans. Special weapon descriptions allowed at this event: Liquid weapons are NOT allowed at this event. Powdered material or chaff weapons are NOT allowed at this event. Heat and Fire are not allowed at this event. The Ignition system may have a remote operated shut-off that allows the operators to disable it using the radio control system. The decision made by the event organising committee will be final and binding to all participants. Common rules: Devices like Mobile Phone, Laptop are not allowed during the event Judges decision will be final. Team participation is entertained Requirements: Power extension will be provided(200-230 Volt AC) Length of wires has to be brought by the participants An area of battle for gthe robots Price details: Will be awarded as the Dept. NORMS General: All participants build and operate robots at their own risk. Combat robotics is dangerous. Please take care to not hurt yourself or others when building, testing and competing. If you have a robot or weapon design that does not fit within the categories set forth in these rules or is in some way ambiguous or borderline, please contact this event coordinator. Compliance with all event rules is mandatory. It is expected that competitors will comply with the rules and procedures of their own accord and not require constant policing. Each event has safety inspections. It is at their sole discretion that your robot is allowed to compete. As a builder you are obligated to disclose all operating principles and potential dangers to the inspection staff. Proper activation and deactivation of robots is critical. Robots must only be activated in the arena, testing areas, or with expressed consent of the safety officials. All robots must be able to be FULLY deactivated, which includes power to drive and weaponry All robots not in an arena or official testing area must be raised or blocked up in a manner so that their wheels or legs cannot cause movement if the robot is turned on. It is expected that all builders will follow basic safety practices during work on the robot at your pit station. Please be alert and aware of your pit neighbours and people passing by. All robots must have easily visible and controlled mobility in order to compete.

Difference between Alpha, Beta and Gamma testing

02:57
Alpha Testing? Beta Testing? Gamma Testing? performing usability testing, which is normally done by the in-house developers. feature freeze, indicating that no more features will be added to the software . first phase of alpha testing, the software is tested by in-house developers second phase of alpha testing, the software is handed over to the software QA staff all testing types in alpha testing phase. Smoke testing, Integration Testing, System testing, UI and Usability testing, Functional Testing, Security Testing, Performance Testing, Regression testing, Sanity Testing and Acceptance Testing. Beta Testing is done by the number of the end users before delivery.  The change request would be fixed if user gives the feedback or report defects. distributed to a wide audience on the Web partly to give the program a “real-world” test and partly to provide a preview of the next release. Beta testing is to get the feedback from the different groups of customers and check the compatibility of the product in different kind of networks and hardware.. when software is ready for release with specified requirements, .  No feature development or enhancement of the software is undertaken and tightly scoped bug fixes are the only code.

Event plan: The event’ purpose is to bring out the WARRIOR inside the participants. Rules:. General: All participants build and operate robots at their own risk.
