16 FAMOUS LOGOS WITH A HIDDEN MEANING (That We Never Even Noticed)

06:33
How to design a successful logo? How to build a famous brand for your business? Some of the most well-known logos in the world were purposefully designed to indicate something much more than simple beauty. In fact, it seems that in some cases, every line, curve, and color has meaning behind it. Adidas, Apple, BMW, Coca-Cola, Toyota… We see these famous brands everywhere but never consider what their logos exactly mean. Curious to know the secret? Watch the 16 famous logos with a hidden meaning you've never noticed. #logomeaning #logosecret # Hyundai 0:33 The letter ’Н’ symbolizes two people – a client and a representative of the company – shaking hands. Adidas 0:52 The current logo is three stripes at an angle which together form a triangle. This symbolizes a mountain, which in turn represents the challenges that all sportsmen have to overcome day after day. Apple 1:21 Rob Janoff, the designer who came up with the world-famous Apple company logo, explained his idea in one of his interviews. He bought a bag of apples, placed them in a bowl, and spent time drawing them for a week, trying to break the image down into something simple. Vaio 1:58 The first two letters of the Vaio logo symbolize an analogue wave. The last two are similar to the numbers 1 and 0 — that is, symbols of a digital signal. Amazon 2:14 The orange arrow is similar to a smile because the company wants its customers to be satisfied. The arrow is also stretched between the letters ’A’ and ’Z’, in a hint that the company sells absolutely every product you can imagine. Baskin Robbins 2:40 The pink-colored parts of the "BR" section make up the number 31, which is how many ice cream flavors Baskin Robbins used to famously sell. Toyota 2:56 The logo represents a stylized image of a needle eye with a thread passing through it. This is a hint at the company’s past – they used to produce weaving machines. Continental 3:28 Continental, a famous car tire producer, has a logo in which the first two letters depict a car wheel. Formula 1 3:41 If you look carefully at the white space between the letter ’F’ and the red stripes, you can see the number 1. Pinterest 3:59 On Pinterest, people collect images they like from across the Internet and ’pin’ them to their online boards. That’s why the image of a pin is hidden in the letter P. Beats 4:17 Beats, an audio equipment producer based in the USA, uses a logo in which the letter ’B’ looks like headphones on a person’s head. Toblerone 4:32 The famous chocolate company based in Bern, Switzerland, has a silhouette of a bear in its logo. That's because Bern is sometimes called a city of bears. BMW 4:55 The logo is simply a part of the Bavarian flag, the area of Germany where the company originated. LG 5:18 The logo is a stylized image of a person’s face. According to the company, this represents its aspiration to have human relations with their customers. Evernote 5:34 The corner of the elephant’s ear is folded over in a similar way how people fold the corner of a page to make notes. Coca-Cola 5:57 In the space between the letters ’O’ and ’L’, you can see the Danish flag. It’s purely a coincidence. Nevertheless, Coca-Cola has used this as part of its marketing campaigns in the Scandinavian country. If you’ve enjoyed this video, hit that thumbs up button! Personal Branding Vs Business Brand for Photographers - How to Choose a Name

04:05
Sterling Grinnell shares his insights on the difference between personal branding and business branding for a photographer. We talk about the pros and cons of each and which is right for you. ⏩ Submit a question in the form below for me to answer on YouTube ( http://bit.ly/2KGVwK4 ) ► More Videos and Sterling's Gear List Below! ► How to Develop Your Style as a Photographer ( https://youtu.be/6RQB4ZIskxc ) ► Sterling's Camera ( http://amzn.to/2El8I5A ) ► Sterling's 50mm Lens ( http://amzn.to/2DIgN3g ) ► Sterling's DREAM camera! If you are thinking of starting a freelance photography business should you use a personal name or a company name for your brand. This is a question that I hear a lot from people wanting to get started in the photography business. I jumped on a call with Sterling Grinnell to get his professional thoughts on the matter. When you are deciding between a personal brand and a business brand name you must consider the direction you are trying to go and the results you want to achieve. When Sterling was first getting his business started he used Peak 3 Studios to brand his photography business. He was reaching out to individuals and companies to build connection so he could grow his photography business and he chose to use a company name to appear trust worthy. Having an established name can give a more solidified appearance to those you are reaching out to rather than simply appearing as a person how just likes to take pictures. Once you build your photography portfolio and start to develop a name for yourself it is easier to transition from company name to personal brand name, which in the long run was Sterling's goal. The reason being? He wanted to become known for his personal photography style and not get lost behind a brand name when people learned about what he did. Now that he has developed his portfolio, carrying a personal brand name is important to him because he is now the brand. People don't just want a standard photography sessions, the want photo by Sterling Grinnell. This all ties into developing your own style. How to Create a New Brand Name? Lorraine Carter - Persona Branding and Design

02:25
I'm often asked how do we come up with brand names?  Do we brain storm over copious glasses of wine or have fun with scrabble but it's actually far more systemised than. Great names don't typically happen by accident. We actually use our Nail It Naming™ System which is quite systematic and sometimes sounds counterintuitive with something that involves a lot of creativity too.  But our 'Nail it Naming' process helps keep all our work very focussed to deliver results.    After all, our objective is to achieve a strong list of names which meet specific brand criteria. Without a process like our Nail It Naming™ System, coming up with creative new name solutions can become 'pot luck'. So what are the key criteria you need to consider when developing new brand names? Well, you have to be very clear on your brand proposition, mission and purpose and it's positioning. • Who are your core target audience and what do they expect from you? • What are your core brand values and brand promise?  • What is your brand personality and brand story? • What does your brand stand for and why should I care about it? You also need to ensure you overcome a few potential obstacles when creating a new brand name. A new brand name must be: • appealing, strategic and distinctive • legally available • intuitive to pronounce and spell • have no negative connotations or meanings • possibly work as a web address or URL If you need a new brand name be it for your company, service, product, division, ingredients, tagline or whatever why don't you get in touch and checkout our 'Nail it Naming' system yourself.  We work with entrepreneurs, government agencies, not-for-profit entities, companies large and small and we'd love to help you create some really strong customer attracting naming solutions so you and your organisation become much more successful. If you'd like to find out more you can get in touch using the contact details on our site http://www.personadesign.ie E: [email protected] T: +353 1 8322724

What is BRAND EQUITY? What does BRAND EQUITY mean? BRAND EQUITY meaning, definition & explanation

What does BRAND EQUITY mean? BRAND EQUITY meaning - BRAND EQUITY definition - BRAND EQUITY explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Brand equity is a phrase used in the marketing industry which describes the value of having a well-known brand name, based on the idea that the owner of a well-known brand name can generate more money from products with that brand name than from products with a less well known name, as consumers believe that a product with a well-known name is better than products with less well-known names. Brand equity refers to the value of a brand. In the research literature, brand equity has been studied from two different perspectives: cognitive psychology and information economics. According to cognitive psychology, brand equity lies in consumer’s awareness of brand features and associations, which drive attribute perceptions. According to information economics, a strong brand name works as a credible signal of product quality for imperfectly informed buyers and generates price premiums as a form of return to branding investments. It has been empirically demonstrated that brand equity plays an important role in the determination of price structure and, in particular, firms are able to charge price premiums that derive from brand equity after controlling for observed product differentiation. Some marketing researchers have concluded that brands are one of the most valuable assets a company has, as brand equity is one of the factors which can increase the financial value of a brand to the brand owner, although not the only one. Elements that can be included in the valuation of brand equity include (but not limited to): changing market share, profit margins, consumer recognition of logos and other visual elements, brand language associations made by consumers, consumers' perceptions of quality and other relevant brand values. Consumers' knowledge about a brand also governs how manufacturers and advertisers market the brand. Brand equity is created through strategic investments in communication channels and market education and appreciates through economic growth in profit margins, market share, prestige value, and critical associations. Generally, these strategic investments appreciate over time to deliver a return on investment. This is directly related to marketing ROI. Brand equity can also appreciate without strategic direction. A Stockholm University study in 2011 documents the case of Jerusalem's city brand. The city organically developed a brand, which experienced tremendous brand equity appreciation over the course of centuries through non-strategic activities. A booming tourism industry in Jerusalem has been the most evident indicator of a strong ROI. While most brand equity research has taken place in consumer markets, the concept of brand equity is also important for understanding competitive dynamics and price structures of business-to-business markets. In industrial markets competition is often based on differences in product performance. It has been suggested however that firms may charge premiums that cannot be solely explained in terms of technological superiority and performance-related advantages. Such price premiums reflect the brand equity of reputable manufacturers. Brand equity is strategically crucial, but famously difficult to quantify. Many experts have developed tools to analyze this asset, but there is no agreed way to measure it. As one of the serial challenges that marketing professionals and academics find with the concept of brand equity, the disconnect between quantitative and qualitative equity values is difficult to reconcile. Quantitative brand equity includes numerical values such as profit margins and market share, but fails to capture qualitative elements such as prestige and associations of interest. Overall, most marketing practitioners take a more qualitative approach to brand equity because of this challenge. In a survey of nearly 200 senior marketing managers, only 26 percent responded that they found the "brand equity" metric very useful.

We thought it could be fun to share our journey with the world and see what we learn, what we find out and how it can help others take on a journey of their own. We wrote about the importance of branding here as a first step into the journey: customericare(dot)com/startup-branding-and-culture/ In these slides we focus on what makes a brand memorable. And here's the article that goes with the slides about building a memorable customer experience: customericare(dot)com/create-memorable-customer-experiences/ Hope you'll like the presentation and don't hesitate to leave your thoughts in the comments! A LOGO A NAME+ donot make a brand! (wetried) 11. "Brand is just a perception, and perception will match reality over time. Sometimes it will be ahead, other times it will be behind. But brand is simply a collective impression some have about a product." - ELON MUSK 12. So, that's where we're at: We have a name. We have a logo. We don't have a brand 19. A BRAND MEMORABLE In this deck we'll see what makes 28. Here are our 3 favorite brand story frameworks for startups 29. 1. The PSS Story Problem Solution Success 31. 2. The Underdog Story Small business passionate about product and customers VS Big corporate business with impersonal customer service 33. 3. The Higher Purpose Story Strong company culture + A vision going way beyond the product 36. Some kind of magic potion - Simple Design - Good story - Unique personality - Good knowledge of customers 40. The Creator ! Non-conformists who design products that help customers be creative. Creators are perfectionists who are found of good design and like thinking out-of-the-box. 44. The Lover ! Lover brands are all about relationships and beauty. They strive to make customers feel special and help them build connections with others. 45. The Ruler ! Ruler brands love being in control. They are leaders by nature and are dedicated to make their customers feel successful and important. 46. The Hero ! Underdogs that end up winning using their skills and will- power. They often have an enemy to fight against and empower customers to achieve their full potential. 48. The Maverick ! They live to break the rules and go against established conventions. Maverick brands are different, but they have this cool kid image that's oh so attractive. 50. The Regular Guy/Girl ! They live to keep it simple to be more accessible. All they really want for them and their customers is to belong to a community. 60. Cool, cool, but how do you know what's memorable to customers? 1. Hang-out in the same places as they do 2. Do one-on-one interviews 3. Look at the content they share 4. Study the look and feel of softwares they use 62. What we have right now Live chat software? What? Looks like an antivirus Name is kinda generic and hard to spell (capital or small "i", all together or spaces) 64. STEP 2: What is our story and how do we tell it? There are too many pop-ups / box based solutions interrupting customers (live chat, marketing automation, feedback boxes…). You can't test them all at once and it's annoying to switch.Problem Solution Success Build a tool that puts everything together and can be a live chat by day, lead gen tool by night… Time will tell :) 66. STEP 3: We want to try a very different brand personality: 2 Excitement Daring Trendy Exciting Spirited Cool Young Imaginative Unique + The Maverick 67. STEP 4: Which customers will this resonate with? Young, marketing savvy website designers looking for a chat solution for their clients Digital marketers & growth hackers looking for new ways to generate leads 68. We've got memorable branding covered ! But that's not all! Being memorable also means building a memorable customer experience. Branding: What is a brand?

04:24
** Download THE HUMAN GUIDE TO BRANDING: http://thehumanguide.com/ *** What is a brand? What is branding? What's the difference? When I ask business people what they think a brand is nine out of ten usually get it wrong. Over the years, the word “brand” has been has been used to describe all kinds of things that it’s not. So today, I want to bring clarity as to what this term really means and empower you to build a better brand for yourself, your company, your product or service. I’m Richard Ensley, brand consultant and founder of Priest & King. Today, I want to clear the fog on the definition of brand and branding. Now these words get used pretty loosely these days — so much so, that most intelligent business folks can get a bit confused So let’s first eliminate a few common misconceptions. A brand is not a logo — it is not a product. It is not a company — it is not marketing — or design. It is not packaging — is not colors — mascots or slogans. Now, I can tell you that a majority of the companies That I’ve worked with believed these elements were the brand — To be fair — they were partially right. These are products of a brand — but the brand is much deeper — Much more interactive — and much more human than these elements. So what is a brand? Well I have found that many experts and agencies define “brand” In their own unique ways — it seems split between two different school’s of thought. Many experts believe a “brand” is a combination of everything a company or service says and does — and the way they communicate it, express it or visualize it — while other experts believe a brand is simply what the audience believes about the company — Their experiences and perceptions of that product or service. I subscribe to both of these theories. At Priest & King, we believe that a brand is a story and a promise combined with actionable core values, beliefs, identity, behavior and personality to create a strong narrative. We also believe that the audiences perceptions, emotions and experiences of a company highly impact that brand’s story. So what about brandING? If your brand is a combination of your beliefs, values and personality — combined with your audiences perceptions and experiences of you — then brandING is simply the act of managing those perceptions and experiences — in a consistent manner. For example: Coca-Cola is one of the most recognizable brands in the world. When I say the brand name, the branding automatically triggers. A variety of sights, tastes and sounds right? You can hear the bubbles, see the red can with white script letters, you may have even just gotten thirsty. Many of you think of fun times growing up or other positive experiences as well. So the branding has triggered the brand — the name, the look, the sound — has tapped into your subconscious experiences and positive or negative perceptions of the product. Did you know that at the root of every marketing campaign that coke produces is their core value “To inspire moments of optimism and happiness”? Their imagery is typically filled with smiles and people in situations where they are happy and having fun. Even their packaging says ENJOY coca-cola. This is branding — shaping the customer’s perceptions and experiences through consistently every commercial, ad campaign, and user experience. Make sense? So what’s the role of the logo? Or their colors? Or their unique bottle shape? These elements simply identify the company — they are basically flags that trigger your perceptions of the brand. Now — you may be looking at your brand or the marketing you are doing and you be saying to yourself — yeah but that’s Coke — they're massive — they're a billion dollar company! — How could I make my brand effective like that? Well — the truth is — I work with businesses all of the time who are developing amazing brands — to stand out in their markets. Not only is it important to have effective branding — you don’t have a choice in today’s business climate — there is more competition than ever before — how are you going to stand out? Would you like more expert advice on branding your business? I’ve recently written my first book. It’s called THE HUMAN GUIDE TO BRANDING. Today, I’m making it available — FOR FREE! Branding- Your Branding Blueprint

01:09
http://www.yoursmartbrand.com/blueprint -FREE BRANDING BLUEPRINT Branding - its importance and what a brand is from a marketing perspective. Branding is paramount to any business and its success. From a marketing perspective how can a brand or branding of a product be such an integral part? Branding is the heart of your company and the path to success but not every company needs it and some will need it far more so than others. Branding suggests a way and a method to how you best please your customers and what your business means to them. Your business needs to set itself apart from the rest, in other words your competition. If your branding is effective then you can stand out from the crowd. In any business there are several companies offering the same service but why should a customer choose your business over any of the others? Simple, you have a good branding, or at least you should have. Branding comes in several forms. It is not simply the name of your company or the design of your logo but the way you have feedback from (hopefully) satisfied customers and testimonials. The way you advertise is part of your branding too. How are you marketing your business? These important factors tell customers who you are and what you represent. Your task when branding is to get into the customer's mindset what you are all about. You will need to be confident and give the potential customer a feeling that you are proud of your business ethic. This installs confidence in your customer too. It is no good advertising your weaknesses or shortfalls. Remember when Gerald Ratner, owner of several branches of jewellery stores in the United Kingdom, labelled his stock as "just crap?" It was a branding disaster and one that ultimately finished off the chain as a viable business. Branding involves the promotion of your strengths and where you and your business can benefit potential customers. Every business needs to make customers feel at home when they utilise its services or buy from its stores. If you get the branding right, then this can go a long way in creating that successful marketing strategy. When you have a successful branding of your product or service you will find your customers will pay more for your business services or products as opposed to a service that does not provide any kind of branding. Branding helps to install confidence in the customer, otherwise what else makes them buy branded products more confidently than unbranded ones? Branding is one of the most important components of how successful your business can be and if done correctly then, the opportunities are endless. It's a fallacy to think that, the best companies in the marketplace are the wealthiest, it's the ones who use branding correctly using the right channels that, reach out to the largest and targeted audience who enjoy the most success and profits. Its a branding game. Everything you do with your business will effect how your brand will be perceived by your future customers, so finding the right building blocks and gathering a good reputation along the way will greatly enhance your changes and will determine who successful you'll become in your niche. What is Branding and why is it so important to build a good Brand. Many companies have devoted millions (if not billions) of dollars to develop their individualistic brand names to the stature that they are now. What has it taken to build the branding and brand names/vision from the CEO and founding members, untold extensive marketing strategy, years of continued focus and determination, passion, sweat, and hard work, and most importantly, a solid product that performs in the market. The above is just but a glimpse of what it has taken companies, with strong brand names, to reach where they are. Let us break down this 'branding' issues and see what it is, what it takes to make it, how to maintain it and increase its growth in the market. Definition of a Brand and branding The wording might differ as you move from state to state but the basic idea is still the same. A brand is a word, letter, symbol, design, color, phrase, or any other feature that is unique to a certain company\person. This is what identifies the seller's goods or services and distinguishes them from other similar products in the market. The genesis of the word goes through the years back to 1200s and the name has slowly changed to include many things. With each civilization from the 1200s, the brand has acquired new meaning and new dimension. This is primarily what has helped it to become so important in modern business culture. The word has now become synonymous with the word 'identity' when it comes to modern business culture. Branding can stand for, product company or service Companies have been known to pump millions of their revenue into shaping the perception that is created when the brand is shown. E.g., the name Microsoft invokes images of computers, software, technology etc.
