For most of us that sleep, we tend to experience some sort of dreaming, where our minds take off and we experience another world of existence. Sometimes we have good dreams, and sometimes we have nightmares that can terrify us to the core and force us to sleep with the lights on for the rest of the night. But our dreams are so much more than a nightly occurrence. But instead, they offer glimpses into our very own psyches and tell us so much about our psychology and how we deal with stress, anxiety, and overall feelings of our life. Studies have shown that we experience 4-6 dreams per night, which we quickly forget within the first ten minutes that we wake up. In the time that we dream, it can total out to be about 6 years of our life that we spend dreaming. While sleeping is typically perceived as a time of rest, scientists have discovered that the brain is busier than ever in our sleep while it is recharging. In fact, the brain can actually learn more efficiently and uses sleep and dreaming to process the new information it has received during the day. In dreaming, the brain can also sort through problems and dilemmas and come up with solutions. Needless to say, the brain is more active while it is recharging. This stage is known as rapid eye movement, and the body will also release a chemical that paralyzes you so that you don’t act out your dreams. If you wake up suddenly while the chemical is still present, sleep paralysis can result. If the brain hasn’t completely woken up yet, people can hallucinate and see their dreams before them. The result is the person is paralyzed, unable to speak, and could possibly be experiencing some pretty terrifying images that they don’t understand. Those who are blind can also dream, but in a different way. For those who have been blind since birth, they have no concept of visual stimulation, and therefore, can’t process visual imagery in their sleep. Instead, the blind experience dreams with their other senses in a heightened form, such as sound, taste, smell, and touch. While dreaming, we also act out our fears and personal insecurities. If you’re in a serious relationship, you’ve probably experienced a dream or two where your significant other is having an affair. Sometimes, these dreams are so real that the dreamer is still angry upon awakening. As long as the line between reality and personal worries is clear, then hopefully the drama stays in dream land. Sometimes our dreams can lead to more physical results, such as nocturnal emissions, or better known as wet dreams. Not just males experience this kind of pleasure and euphoria in their dreams, but females as well. This phenomenon is common in adolescence, but adults can have these sort of dreams too. 10 FACTS ABOUT SLEEP PARALYSIS THAT YOU WANT TO KNOW

Sleep paralysis is one of the most scariest thing you'll ever encounter, it makes you feel a big fear of sleeping once you shrug off that bad dream. Some says that when you are in the process of sleeping paralysis there's a chance that you may die if you can't escape it or no one wake you up. But somehow there's a way to escape it by yourself. According to some patients, the thing you only have to do and that is necessary is to shake or move your toe. Then you'll get back in reality. On the contrary, as told by the experts, there's no way you can escape into it and the only way to escape is to wait for it to stop. No matter how you try to wake yourself up, even you shake your toe a lot, your facial muscles and your fingers you're still under that sleeping paralysis. Still, after you get back to reality, being a victim of sleeping paralysis, it will leave you awake and fearful of sleeping again for it may happen again. Here are some scary facts about sleeping paralysis: 1. It feels like you woke up dead. Most of the patient are saying the exact statement like others. They say that it feels like you're waking up dead, and you know your mind is awake but your body is not and you feel like you are trapped and you have nothing to do with it instead you just stare at those things around you. 2. Its a way more extreme than a night mare. “It is the complete opposite, actually,” Breus explains. When you enter deep REM sleep, your brain tells the body’s voluntary muscles to relax and go into almost a state of paralysis, which is called atonia. Atonia actually helps protect the body from injury by preventing you from acting out the physical movements in your dreams. In other parasomnias, such as sleepwalking or REM sleep behavior disorder, atonia does not occur properly and the voluntary muscles move while the mind remains asleep, which is why people can sometimes do crazy things in their sleep and be totally unaware of it. In sleep paralysis, the body remains paralyzed in REM atonia while the brain awakens and the eyes start to open, explains Breus. Sufferers become alert in a transient conscious state, but they are unable to move voluntary muscles or speak. Although involuntary muscle movement, like breathing, is not affected, there is often a sensation of chest pressure, which is why many people wake up from sleep paralysis gasping to take a deep breath. Episodes can last anywhere from 20 seconds to a few minutes. 3. It always happen between waking up and falling asleep. Sleep paralysis can occur during one of two transitions in the sleep cycle. The body must go into REM sleep, and it must come out of it, but sleep paralysis occurs when the body has trouble making these transitions. If it happens when you’re falling asleep, it’s called hypnagogic sleep paralysis, whereas if it happens during waking it’s called hypnopompic, Breus explains. Unfortunately, why the body can’t transition smoothly is still unknown. 4. It can make you see scary things and hallucinate. Unlike the visuals in nightmares or lucid dreams, which occur when the eyes are closed in REM sleep, these hallucinations occur in the state between sleeping and waking when the mind is alert and the eyes are open. True visual and auditory hallucinations during sleep paralysis are relatively rare, according to Breus, but many patients report feeling an undeniably strange or scary presence in the room. In addtion, sleep paralysis is just super frightening to begin with, so it often triggers a panicked response with increased heart rate. People freak out because they can’t move, and it’s this extreme anxiety which causes people to be very fearful of their surroundings. 5. You can escape it by waking yourself up. Some of the victims says that in order to wake yourself up is just by moving your toes, facial muscles and fingers. Ever body tries to do something to wake themselves up, but what is really freaking truth is you cant wake yourself up even you move any body parts, you cant fool the sleeping paralysis. The only thing to do is wait for it to stop by itself and you'll get back to reality, said by the experts. 6. Sleep paralysis is actually a natural occurrence and can happen to anyone at any age. Every time you go to sleep, there is some risk of waking up in sleep paralysis. But severity and degree of consciousness vary greatly — most people have at least one episode at some point in life but aren’t even aware of it. When it does happen, it’s highly individual and rarely the same experience for everyone. But it’s most common among young adults and people with a history of mental illness. 7. It’s probably related to being sleep deprived. According to experts, research has consistently shown that the less sleep you get and the more exhausted you are, the more likely you are to experience sleep paralysis and other sleep disorders.

Dream of Flying, Falling, Floating, Travel - meaning

Flying, Floating, Falling or Traveling in Your Dreams & the Sensation of Movement Flying in your dreams indicates Conscious Awareness of Inter-dimensional Activity & your Multidimensional Nature! We are Multidimensional Beings living in a Multidimensional Universe, & the Physical Dimension is just one of those dimensions. So, when you dream of Flying, it's evidence that you are Consciously Accessing the other dimensions. Most people experience this in the form of Falling, Floating, Flying, or Traveling in their dream state, but any Sensation of Movement is indicative of Inter-dimensional Activity or what I call ID Activity. The most obvious Characteristic of ID Activity is the Sensation of Movement. This is the most prominent sensation because this is literally what you are doing! You are Moving! All of Life is One Vibration. In reality, life is vibrating, pulsating & moving all the time. This is what Vibration does! As part of that One Vibration & as a Being of Vibration, this is what you do all the time as well! So there will be times both in your Sleep and your Waking State that you'll Take Notice of this Sensation. Since we're talking about your Dreams, in this video I will explain the Sensation of Movement in the Dream or Sleep State. The most common sensations of Floating & Falling occur when you're just falling asleep or just waking up. The Floating Sensation usually occurs just as you are "drifting off" to sleep, & the Falling Sensation usually occurs just as you're waking up or "falling out" of your deep sleep. Most people experience the Sensation of Flying while in a very Lucid Dream. Not only is the sensation fully present when you fly, but you're Consciously Involved in the Act of Flying! For most people this becomes quite the adventurous dream! Have fun with it if you experience Lucid Flying in your dream. Experiment & see if you can fly to a certain location or a certain person & make mental notes to verify later. When you experience the Sensation of Travel while dreaming or in the sleep state, you may wake up Feeling Tired as if you've just come back from a long trip. This is because your mind perceives the Sensation of Movement in a very physical way. On the other hand, you may not wake up exhausted at all, if you've become Consciously Used To the sensations of Inter-dimensional Activity. You may also feel as if you're Being Led, Guided, or Assisted while Traveling in your dreams. Traveling can feel foreign & scary when you consciously experience it the first few times. So you may receive the gentle guidance of a Guardian Angel, the assistance of a Loved One who has died, or simply led by your own Inner Wisdom. If Being Led by someone, you may have the feeling of being Tethered to them or Taken by the Hand. You may also have the sensation of being led through some sort of Buffering Component, like a tunnel, darkness or liquid. The buffering component can feel Comfortable & closed in - like a bubble or the womb if in liquid, or feel very Expansive - like when you travel through darkness or the vastness of space. If you're Traveling Solo or it feels as if you're moving about without the help of anyone, this is an indicator that your Conscious Mind has taken notice of Self as the Driver. You realize that you don't need the help of anyone else. The feeling of being led or the need for assistance may decrease as you become more Consciously Involved in your ID Activity & more comfortable with the Sensation of Movement & Travel. Another indication of ID Activity while dreaming is if any of your 5 Physical Senses are Exaggerated in the dream. Colors may be more Vivid, Sounds may be Amplified, Scents overpowering, and extreme Heat or Cold physically felt in your dream. You may recall hearing a Buzzing sound or the sound of Helicopter Wings while asleep or in the dream. You may remember an exaggerated sensation in your dream, but with No Known Cause. For example, you remember hearing the Helicopter or Bees Buzzing when they didn't appear in your dream. Your physical senses are very involved in ID Activity, so you can depend on them to show forth Inter-dimensional Activity in your dreams! The Sensation of Movement may take on more Subtle Feelings in your dreams, such as an "other-dimensional" feel, a "layered" feel like peeling back the Layers of an Onion, and either an "observer" feel as if you're standing on the outside of your dream, or an "inward" feel as if you're deep inside yourself Looking Outward to the dream. This is the conscious mind taking notice of moving into Deeper Levels of Awareness, Consciousness & Thinking! The Sensation of Movement in your dreams or sleep state can be very unsettling, disorienting & even frightening, so I hope my explanations help you feel more comfortable. Take heart when you Consciously Take Notice because it means that you are becoming more Consciously Aware of Your Own Multidimensional Nature!
