Easy intro for Gr5+
Defined through division AND multiplication, though focus is on multiplication.
1. Prime is shown through the example of 3
2. Second example given is 8. Not prime, so composite.
Defintion of composite number: more than 2 factors
3. Third example is 2, the only even prime number. Every even number has 2 as a factor, so every even number greater than 2 is a composite number.

Here's how you do cube roots in your head! Avoid looking like Education Secretary Nicky Morgan who was stumped when asked to do a cube root: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8CV0dfQMdU
Note: the starting number needs to be a perfect cube. So it's more of a magic trick: ask someone to cube a number and then you can deduce their original number quickly.

In this lecture, we go over a couple homework problems using vectors in a physics context. We then move on to the main lesson. Which begins with the dot product.
Last time we learned how to add/subtract and scalar multiply vectors. Some may be wondering what happened to multiplication and division. As it turns out, division is a luxury we often take for granted, we can't divide vectors. (There are cases where we can "multiply by an inverse", which is often seen as equivalent to division, but we cannot do that with the vectors we are studying.) Multiplication, on the other hand, becomes a more sophisticated venture when dealing with vectors. We can multiply, but we won't do it in the "obvious" way, and there are several ways to multiply that give us VERY different kinds of answers. The question is, what do these answers mean, what do they tell us.
The first kind of vector product we look at is THE DOT PRODUCT. This is called the scalar product since the dot product of two vectors is actually a scalar result. We go over properties, formulas, and uses of the dot product. We learn an important formula that relates the dot product to the angle between vectors and hence derive the very useful and important fact that: IF THE DOT PRODUCT IS 0, THEN THE VECTORS IN THE PRODUCT ARE ORTHOGONAL (PERPENDICULAR).
We then remind ourselves how to find the determinants of square matrices, and use them to define another kind of product--THE CROSS PRODUCT. This is called a vector product since the result of the cross product of two 3D vectors is another 3D vector (it's only defined for 3D vectors). The important thing here is, the result of a cross product is a vector that is orthogonal to BOTH vectors in the product. We go over a few examples of this and also bring up a formula that relates the (magnitude of the) cross product to the angle between the two vectors in the product. We use this to derive that important fact that: IF THE RESULT OF THE CROSS PRODUCT IS THE 0 VECTOR, THEN THE TWO VECTORS ARE PARALLEL.
We end the lesson there, but will pick up with this next time.

Here is another cryptarithm for you. Alphametics denotes cryptarithms in which letters form meaningful words, often in meaningful phrases. This particular problem though does not belong to alphametic but still is a popular viral math brain teaser!
Here is the problem. There is a 3 digit number. Let us call it XYZ, where x, y and z are the digits at each of the decimal places. This number has a special property! When you multiply these digits among themselves, their product is one fifth of the original number. In other words, the number XYZ is exactly 5 times the product of x, y and z. As you would have figured out by now, none of the digits can be zero, that is, x, y and z are three distinct positive integers between 1 and 9.
Can you solve this viral math problem?

Mathematics Class 10th Polynomials Find quadratic polynomial with sum and product of zeros as -1/4, 1/4. solution of
In class 9th and 8th, we learnt that a polynomial is an expression consisting of variables and coefficients, that involves only the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and non-negative integer exponents of variables.
The highest power of the variable in a polynomial is called degree of the polynomial. Hence,
A polynomial with degree1 is called linear polynomial, A polynomial with degree 2 is called quadratic polynomial, and a polynomial with degree 3 is called cubic polynomial.
A polynomial comprises of terms and if polynomial contains only one term it is called monomial, a polynomial having two terms is called binomial, and having three terms is called trinomial. If a polynomial has more than three terms we call is polynomial.
In this series of video lessons by Mathetonic we shall learn:
1. What a polynomial is.
2. Types of polynomials on basis of degree and number of terms.
3. Find zeroes of polynomials (quadratic polynomials and cubic polynomials)
4. Relationship between the zeroes and the coefficients of the polynomials.
5. Find quadratic polynomial when sum and product of the zeroes of the polynomial are given.
6. Solve the questions by splitting middle term.
7. Division algorithm of polynomial. (Divide a polynomial by another polynomial)

Learn how to multiply radical expressions. A radical is an expression having the root/radical symbol. The number outside the radical symbol (nth root) is called the index, the number/expression inside the radical symbol is called the radicand. To be able to multiply two or more radicals, the index of the radicals must be the same.
To multiply two or more radicals, we multiply the radicands and place them under one radical symbol. You can only multiply radicands by radicands and cannot multiply a number outside of a radical to a number or term inside a radical(radicand).

The GED can have a way of phrasing problems that hides concepts from you that you actually may know how to do. This is one such problem; as soon as students know what "product" means, they're usually off and running. Check out this very typical GED style example.

This covers the main geometric intuition behind the 2d and 3d cross products.
*Note, in all the computations here, I list the coordinates of the vectors as columns of a matrix, but many textbooks put them in the rows of a matrix instead. It makes no difference for the result, since the determinant is unchanged after a transpose, but given how I've framed most of this series I think it is more intuitive to go with a column-centric approach.

Welcome Students,
In this video RAJA SIR is discussing a new concept of Digit sum.
Many questions are asked in various examinations such as CAT, SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, SSC CPO, BANK PO, BANK CLERK, RAILWAY, LDC etc., you can solve those questions very easily by digit sum in just 2-3 seconds.
Digit Sum is a revolutionary concept and very useful for solving the questions pretty fast. The mathematical operation you do with question the same mathematical operation can be done with the DIGIT SUM of that question. In digit sum we doesn’t count 9.
Example- if there is a number 12345 and we have to get the square of it.
So digit sum of 12345= 1+2+3+4+5=15=1+5=6
Square of the digit sum= (6)2=36=3+6=9
Now the digit sum of the square of 12345 will be 9.
Lets check-(12345)2=152399025=1+5+2+3+9+9+0+2+5=36=3+6=9
In the given question (11111)2 the digit sum of the answer will be (1+1+1+1+1)2=25=2+5=7
Answer-123454321=(1+2+3+4+5+4+3+2+1)=25=2+5=7 Satisfies
You can use DIGIT SUM not only in number system but also in every topic of maths like average, time and distance, percentage and even mensuration too.
RAJA SIR is selected as Income Tax Inspector in 2011 with AIR-24 having an experience of 12 years in teaching and have concepts that you have never seen before.
RAJA SIR has already provided you many unique concepts on this channel and will provide in future too so watch all the previous videos if you have not seen till now to boost your speed.
