Honestly looking back, I feel the advice in this video is kind of empty. It definitely served me, I faced a big fear after this video. But I definitely feel I was coming from an insecure and "un-centered" place when making this video. I recently made a new video where I talk about fear. In my new video I feel very "centered" and grounded and lots of people said it was one of my best videos. I recommended you to definitely checkout that video after you watch this one:
DON'T Face Your Fears, Instead Head To Your "Castles"!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YbYmFzR7P4
Don't get me wrong.. This video is still awesome haha. :) Do crazy stuff with your life! Have courage! Take your life to the limit! But have purpose and heart in your actions :)
Old descrip for this video:
Once you accept the fact that you are either going to die, or that you are an eternal spiritual being.. you can then intellectually use that wisdom to face your fears and TAKE LIFE TO THE VERY FUCKING LIMIT! Life has the potential to transform into the most mind-blowing adventure filled with passion, challenge, and love beyond your wildest imagination.
This is just a wakeup call for people who are letting fear hold them back in some way. Courage obviously isn't the answer to all of your problems... Almost all fulfilling things take time, discipline, patience, and hard work. Often real fulfillment requires small step, by small step, by small step, day in and day out.. for sometimes years. Have goals, be ambitious, work hard for your desires and realize that most truly amazing things take a long, long, long time to manifest... but just wanted to do a sort of intense video that I believe will hit the right people who need this message.
However, sometimes we can experience insane beauty much much quicker than we initially think. Courage is the door to that ;)
Don't be stupidly courageous or stupidly risky. This video is more just a "shot" to wake you up to live your life more fully! :)
BTW, I'm obviously talking about irrational fears in this video. No doubt, real danger does exist in this world. I'm talking about the fears that we know deep deep down we're too afraid to face that we should. What an attractive girl would think of us etc., fears where we know we're being pussies. When we know we're making excuses in our heads. The fears that we know deep deep deep down that if we summoned up the courage to take action on them.. we'll unlock our most powerful limitless selves and fully embrace every single drop of vitality and passion that life has to offer us.
Basically face some fears / do something that SUPER excites you. Plan out a travel adventure. Go skydiving. Go to a concert. etc.
Envision a really awesome future for you and do whatever it takes to get there. (not just instant gratification like skydiving, but also long-term fulfilling plans too)
Once you're doing awesome stuff with your life and have excited energy flowing through you, what I've found is that my brain naturally stops having those existential thoughts because I'm enjoying life and see the thrill in it.
I've struggled with these existential thoughts a lot too. They tend to come in waves. I still have them. Just something I've learned to handle better over time and not let them have power over me.
But I have faith that my wildest and craziest dreams will come true. Dreams beyond my imagination. The most heavenly experiences imaginable. That's what keeps me keep going.
Also the love that I have with family, friends, girls, etc. We're all in this journey together. Noone is alone, and we all have each other. When it comes down to it... the only thing that really matters is relationships and love. Life is a beautiful thing that we can experience and love each other together. Even in our moments of most pain, suffering, and despair, Love and relationships makes it all worth it. ❤
BTW, I never really go up to a girl and say "you're really beautiful". What I typically do is say "Hey I just though you were really attractive". I like the word "attractive". :)
