8. Use LOG ERRORS to suppress SQL errors at the row level.

06:23
The impact of a non-query DML statement is usually "all or nothing". If my update statement identifies 100 rows to change, then either all 100 rows are changed or none are. And none might be the outcome if, say, an error occurs on just one of the rows (value too large to fit in column, NULL value for non-NULL column, etc.). But if you have a situation in which you would really like to "preserve" as many of those row-level changes as possible, you can add the LOG ERRORS clause to your DML statement. Then, if any row changes raise an error, that information is written to your error log table, and processing continues. IMPORTANT: if you use LOG ERRORS, you must must must check that error log table immediately after the DML statement completes. You should also enhance the default error log table. Oracle tutorial : Global Temporary Table In Oracle PL SQL create temp table sql This video will explain to you how to create Temporary Tables in Oracle Oracle tutorial : Global Temporary Table In Oracle 1)The data in such a table is stored only as long as the session or transaction lasts and is private for each session. 2)The definition is visible to all sessions. 3)After commit or disconnection, the data is lost but the definition of the table remains. 4)Indexes created on a temporary. 5)Scope of TRUNCATE command is a single database session. There is no effect of TRUNCATE on other sessions. 6)Foreign key constraints are not applicable in case of Temporary tables 7)Temporary tables cannot contain column of persistent collection type Syntax : CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE table_name ( column_name column_data_type … … ) ON COMMIT DELETE ROWS; CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE Emp ( id number(5) NOT NULL, name varchar2(50) NOT NULL, city varchar2(50) NOT NULL ) ON COMMIT DELETE ROWS INSERT INTO Emp VALUES (1, ‘Test1’, ‘city1’); INSERT INTO Emp VALUES (2, ‘Test2’, ‘city2’); INSERT INTO Emp VALUES (3, ‘Test3’, ‘city3’); SELECT COUNT(*) FROM emp; Result = 3 rows COMMIT; SELECT COUNT(*) FROM emp; Result = 0 rows For more tutorial please visit #techquerypond https://techquerypond.com https://techquerypond.wordpress.com https://twitter.com/techquerypond oracle temporary table create temporary table sql temp table

For flowgraphs, you can select options that enable different target-loading behaviors and include columns that display the time and type of change made in the source. For example, you can configure the target to display all the rows that were deleted in the source, or you could include all changes to generate a change log table. In this video tutorial, Tahir Hussain Babar (Bob) show how to set it up. Scripts ; https://github.com/saphanaacademy/SDI/blob/master/SPS11.txt Video by the SAP HANA Academy.

Difference Between Delete and Truncate

03:41
Below is link for Useful Pl/SQL Books http://goo.gl/XMy0tt ---------------------------------------------------------- Difference Between Delete and Truncate in Detail On bigger picture they serve the same purpose but there are many Differences listed with examples Point Delete Truncate 1. Data Recovery Delete: Come under the DML Category, we need to commit or Rollback explicitly to make the changes permanent, so we can recover the data by Rollback command fully with in a session or up to a point if Save Points are used Fall In DDL Category (DDL Command issue the Auto commit implicitly) so no chances of Recovery even not using the Flashback table method. But Truncate operations are also logged , they didn’t generate redo SQL but they are logged , view for truncated data info V$LOGMNR_CONTENTS 2. Data Removal Delete Can remove all or selected data using the Where Clause predicates. Or we can say delete any subset of rows We can Truncate complete table or a partition or sub partition of a table. 3. Speed Delete is Slower because oracle maintain the redo logs for Read Consistency (so that every session connected can see a consistent data at a given point of time ) Delete is very time consuming activity especially when table have numerous indexes and Triggers associated with table Faster as no data logs are maintained no associated trigger firing. 4. DML Triggers Firing DML (Delete) triggers associated with table will fire. DML Trigger will not fire in case of truncate method. 5. Flashback Technology Data can be recovered even after commit operation using Flashback Table options Flashback_transaction_query table will give what to recover and up to which point. Data cannot be recovered in truncate method by Flashback table option. 6. Referential Integrity Constraint Behavior if we don’t have related data in child table then we can delete the data from the parent table or we have variants like On Delete Cascade & on Delete set Null. We can’t truncate a table with enable Referential Integrity Constraint, even there is no data in the child table, we have to disable or drop the constraint if we want to truncate the table. Exception: Truncate is possible if the FK is self-referential means primary key and foreign key are on the same table. 7. Space De allocation or Space Utilization No extent reset with delete when deleting rows from a table, extents are not de allocated, So if there were 50 extents in the table before the deletion, there will still be 50 after the deletion. Truncate: When a table is truncated it will free the space allocated except in case of reuse storage clause. This space can subsequently be used only by new data in the table or cluster resulting from insert or update operations .All extents are de allocated leaving only the extents specified when the table was originally created .Example So if the table was originally created with min extents 3, there will be 3 extents remaining when the tables is truncated. When you truncate a table, NEXT is automatically reset to the last extent deleted. 8. High Water Mark Delete will not reset the high water mark Truncate will reset the High Water mark which is very important for performance point of view as in case of full table scan and full index scan oracle will read all the block under high water mark this makes a lot of difference in terms of performance. 9. Cluster No as such restriction with delete. You cannot individually truncate a table that is part of a cluster. You must truncate the cluster, Delete all rows from the table, or drop and re-create the table. 10. Information Capturing Delete : we can capture the row information what we have deleted using Delete Method, f you are deleting multiple records then use composite data types (collections & records) Truncate Don’t have this feature of capturing the deleted records. 11. Function Based Index Impact DELETE You cannot delete rows from a table if a function-based index on the table has become invalid. You must first validate the function-based index. Truncate: No as such restriction 12. UNUSABLE Indexes Delete no as such feature. Truncate if table is not empty then truncate make all unusable indexes to useable. 13. Complex views You cannot delete data from a Complex view except through INSTEAD OF triggers. But we can delete data from simple Views and MV. We cannot truncate a view simple or complex but you can truncate MV with special Features like Preserve MV Logs and Purge MV Logs. 14. Privileges Delete You need to provide delete table privilege on object. Truncate you must have drop table privilege there is no truncate table privilege exists. 15. Domain Index No as such restriction You cannot truncate the object having domain index in invalid or In progress state

Reload data into cache automatically when data in the table changes Part 132

In this video, we will discuss about reloading data into cache automatically when data in the underlying database table has changed. Please watch Part 131, before proceeding with this video. To load data automatically into cache, when cached data is removed, we need to define a callback method. This callback method will be invoked when the respective item is removed from cache. So, the code to reload and re-cache data can be written in this method. The callback method signature should match, with the signature of "CacheItemRemovedCallback" delegate. The call back method is defined below. public void CacheItemRemovedCallbackMethod(string key, object value, CacheItemRemovedReason reason) { string CS = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["DBConnectionString"].ConnectionString; SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection(CS); SqlDataAdapter da = new SqlDataAdapter("spGetProducts", con); da.SelectCommand.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; DataSet ds = new DataSet(); da.Fill(ds); CacheItemRemovedCallback onCacheItemRemoved = new CacheItemRemovedCallback(CacheItemRemovedCallbackMethod); SqlCacheDependency sqlDependency = new SqlCacheDependency("Sample", "tblProducts"); Cache.Insert("ProductsData", ds, sqlDependency, DateTime.Now.AddHours(24), Cache.NoSlidingExpiration, CacheItemPriority.Default, onCacheItemRemoved); } Now, create an instance of "CacheItemRemovedCallback" delegate, and to the contructor pass the name of the callback method, that should be executed automatically when, the cached item is removed. CacheItemRemovedCallback onCacheItemRemoved = new CacheItemRemovedCallback(CacheItemRemovedCallbackMethod); In Part 131, to cache data, we used cache object's, Insert() method that takes 3 parameters, as shown below. Cache.Insert("ProductsData", ds, sqlDependency); Instead, let's use the overloaded version that takes 7 parameters and pass "onCacheItemRemoved" as an argument for "CacheItemRemovedCallback" parameter. Cache.Insert("ProductsData", ds, sqlDependency, DateTime.Now.AddHours(24), Cache.NoSlidingExpiration, CacheItemPriority.Default, onCacheItemRemoved); That's it. We are done. Now, please run the application. When "Get Data" button is clicked for the first time, the data is loaded from database. Once the data is loaded into cache, we always get it from cache when we click "Get Data". Now, execute an update statement on the database table. Notice that, when we click "Get Data" button now, we still get data from cache, but notice that, the updated data is loaded.

04 How to configure Hash partition in Oracle

06:56
Hash partitioning Use hash partitioning if your data does not easily lend itself to range partitioning, but you would like to partition for performance and manageability reasons. Hash partitioning provides a method of evenly distributing data across a specified number of partitions. Rows are mapped into partitions based on a hash value of the partitioning key The following example shows how to create a hash partition table. The following example creates a hash-partitioned table. The partitioning column is partno, four partitions are created and assigned system generated names, and they are placed in four named tablespaces (tab1,tab2, ...). CREATE TABLE products (partno NUMBER, description VARCHAR2 (60)) PARTITION BY HASH (partno) PARTITIONS 4 STORE IN (tab1, tab2, tab3, tab4);

(Copyright Dawk Ins) Stephen Curry 22 points vs Magic (Full Highlights) (12/02/14) Winner 3 Pointer!

05:59
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr saw the look in Stephen Curry's eyes and the bounce in his step as he sprinted with the ball in transition. "I was thinking, `Don't call timeout,"' Kerr said. Good move, Coach. Curry made a go-ahead 3-pointer with 2.2 seconds remaining, sending the Warriors to a thrilling 98-97 win over the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night for their 10th straight win. "I wanted to go to my left down the middle and go to the basket and maybe get fouled or something, but he kind of bit on the in-and-out move and I was able to get a rhythm shot in transition," Curry said. In the most dramatic finish to their streak, Curry lost Tobias Harris with some crafty dribbling before pulling up to swish the shot. Curry shook his shoulders and pounded his chest as the announced sellout crowd of 19,596 roared at noisy Oracle Arena. "It's just kind of a rush that every player loves to experience," Curry said. "Especially at home when you're able to do that and get a huge win, you remember those moments." Draymond Green, who sprained his right thumb in the first quarter, deflected Kyle O'Quinn's pass to Harris on Orlando's last possession to preserve Golden State's streak. Curry finished with 22 points and five assists, and Klay Thompson scored 20 as the Warriors rallied from nine points down in the final four minutes. The Warriors (15-2) extended the best start in franchise history and moved within one game of matching the team record for consecutive victories set in the 1971-72 season. They have not lost since Nov. 11 to the defending champion San Antonio Spurs and are finding ways to win even when they're not at their best. "That's what the good teams do," said Warriors center Andrew Bogut, who had 12 rebounds, seven points and five blocks. Victor Oladipo scored 27 points, and O'Quinn had 21 points and 11 rebounds in a stunning collapse for the young Magic. Orlando had lost four in a row before beating Phoenix on Sunday. "That's some of the best basketball we've played all year and it comes out disappointing because Steph made a lot of tough shots, big-time shots," Harris said. In their first game home since a 5-0 road trip, the Warriors gave their fans quite a show in the closing minutes. Oladipo's 3-pointer put the Magic up 93-84 with 4:11 left. But Curry came back with a 3, and Thompson connected on consecutive shots from beyond the arc to quickly tie the game. The teams traded scores and misses - with the Warriors clanking three 3s on one possession - before Harris banked in a running shot over Bogut, who couldn't finish an alley-oop from Curry on Golden State's next time down. After Elfrid Payton's missed a difficult layup, Curry got the ball and raced down court for the tying shot from long range, where the Warriors had struggled most of the night. Golden State ended 8 for 27 from deep. Curry (sprained left ankle) and Thompson (bruised right quadriceps) were questionable before the game and took more than three quarters to find a rhythm. Both said they felt fine afterward. TIP-INS Magic: C Nikola Vucevic sat out with back spasms. He is questionable for Wednesday's game at the Los Angeles Clippers. ... Orlando has lost four in a row against the Warriors, dropping the season series for the second straight year. Warriors: F David Lee remains out indefinitely with a left hamstring injury. ... The Warriors are 7-0 against the Eastern Conference. GREEN'S FINGER The Warriors survived a scare when Green tumbled into a row of photographers on the baseline following a missed layup in the opening minutes. The team said he sprained his right thumb and X-rays were negative. Green returned with his thumb and wrist taped. Stephen Curry Winner 3 Pointer vs Magic!

02:59
He finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists - and the game-saving steal. QUOTE OF THE NIGHT "That's why he's Steph Curry." - Kerr on the game-winning shot. Data Modeling for BigQuery (Google Cloud Next '17)

57:36
BigQuery is a different data warehouse, permitting new approaches to data modeling. To get the most out of this system, Dan McClary and Daniel Mintz examine where old assumptions of schema design come from, as well as how BigQuery allows them to challenge those assumptions to produce data models which are easier to query and more performant. Additionally, they examine this parallel evolution of assumptions in Business Intelligence, and how modern tools such as Looker can take full advantage BigQuery's flexible data models. ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: ENT3-BRA FASHION

02:38
English/Nat SENSUALITY TRIUMPHS OVER MODESTY IN LATEST BRA SHOW STORY: BRA FASHION LOCATION: HONG KONG DATE: AUGUST 1999 Gone are the days when ladies' underwear was just that - pieces of fabric designed to be worn under an outer garment - to enhance the figure or preserve a certain decorum of modesty. The collection presented by Triumph International to the trade and media in Hong Kong threw old concepts of underwear away. They are meant to be seen, even flaunted, not hidden under a dress, a pair of trousers or a shirt. Take the opening number, the \"Millennium Bra\". Made of highly specialised acrylic nylon stretch fabric with shiny transparent coating, the bra glittered under the spotlights as rows of Svarovski crystal hung from the model's neck to complete the look. The design is meant to offer \"a new look for the century as a functional and highly decorative piece to enhance the beauty and elegance of the female body\". Not so long ago, bra straps peeking out of clothes were a source of embarassment among the well-groomed. With today's fashion a highly visible elegant or trendy strap completes the look. And there were quite a lot to choose from - lacy ones and daring reds to go with their Magic 5 Clix series. This array of bras offer five adjustable positions to improve one's cleavage. The collection is not for the fainthearted or the shy retiring types. Even the models with their almost perfect figures went through rigorous exercise regimes to look fabulous in Triumph's latest underwear. One of Hong Kong's top notch models, ROSA TSANG said,\" We need to do more exercise for the show so that then when you walk down, you have to take a deep breath and then go out.\" It takes a bit of spunk to go on stage and wear nothing but lacy underwear and even the most experienced of the group admitted they were reticent about taking part in the show. Model AYSHA BASHIR said \"I am a little bit uncomfortable, but I am trying to be professional and not make a fuss. I am specially uncomfortable in this one scene where we wear nothing on top\". So how do they prepare themselves to model nothing but the latest Sloggi panties? Model ALESSANDRA NERDRUM comments, \"I think you just try not to think about the fact that you are going out there topless and we are covering ourselves with long hair extensions to maintain our modesty. So we will be like that. We will be modest\". The trouble with today's fashion is that designers are doing away with underwear. Notice the gossamer-thin fabrics that adorned the couture capital's collection with hardly-there panties for underwear. So Triumph has tried to rise to the challenge. In an attempt to be appear relevant, two innovative pieces attracted a lot of attention. One was called Prayer for Economic Recovery, a new version of their Angel Bra with motifs embroidered in 18 k gold threat and push-up pads in the shape of old Japanese coins. The panty was inscribed with Japanese letters saying \"prayer\" and the bra cups were inscribed with the phrase \" economic recovery\". The other piece was a recently developed a \"Recycled Pet Bra' made from Polyethylne Terephtalate bottles which many say are kinder to the environment and are widely collected for recycling. At the end of the show, those in the trade had a chance to look at the collection at close-range to see if their customers in Hong Kong will part with their hard-earned cash to buy the latest collection of Triumph.
