QA Cafe TR-069 Training Series: XML and SOAP in CWMP

03:27
TR-069 uses the extensible markup language in three different ways: To define the syntax of its message calls and responses, message ID, and faults To define its remote procedure calls and their arguments and To define the data model of CWMP endpoint objects While XML is used most often to define and describe information, TR-069 also uses it directly over the wire when transmitting messages. This means that the ACS and CPE pass XML documents back and forth over HTTP during a TR-069 session. How a particular XML document is structured is defined in an XML schema. In TR-069, there exist several schemas - one for the basic protocol and RPCs, one that describes how TR-069 data models are to be constructed, one that describes how device type documents are to be constructed, and several more that were defined for extensions such as IPDR for bulk data upload, XMPP connection requests, and more. XML schemas, like computer languages, can inherit using a “namespace”. TR-069 uses the Simple Object Access Protocol as an intermediary for packaging its remote procedure calls, message ID argument, and providing a mechanism for faults. SOAP is defined in XML by the W3 Consortium. Let’s look at the basic structure of a CWMP message over SOAP. First is the SOAP envelope. Within it are attributes that explain which namespaces will be used by the elements within it. The string after the colon in the listing states how it will be referred to later. First, the envelope has a reference to the SOAP envelope and SOAP encoding namespaces, referred to by SOAP-ENV and SOAP-ENC prefixes, respectively. Next, the base XML schemas from W3C are referenced with the xsi and xsd prefixes. Lastly, the namespace for cwmp itself is listed using the official broadband forum namespace - when TR-069 was created, this was still the dsl forum, so the namespace has stuck for now. The SOAP header, in CWMP, is used mostly for the message ID element. This is pulled from the cwmp namespace and is used to coordinate calls and responses. The SOAP Body then contains the remote procedure call or response sent by the ACS or CPE, and the arguments that are expected. For example, the SetParameterValues RPC takes an array defined in the cwmp namespace as “ParameterValueStruct”. It consists of an element called “ParameterList” that contains an array of Name/Value pairs, and an element called “ParameterKey” that is used by the ACS as helpful metadata for its requests. Lastly, SOAP defines its own structure for fault handling, which TR-069 uses. TR-069 ACS faults use the 8000 series, and CPE faults are in the 9000 series. Faults are defined in the CWMP xml schema and listed in section A.5 of TR-069. That’s the basics of TR-069 XML. You can find all of the xml schemas and documents related to TR-069 on the Broadband Forum website at www.broadband-forum.org/cwmp.

Encoding and Decoding XML in Go (golang)

21:55
What if you had to write some data out in XML format? How would you do it in using golang? The is, very easy actually. Basically, ignoring error handling, your code boils down to: data := &Person{....} f, err := os.Create("some-file.xml") end := xml.NewEncoder(f) xml.Encode(data) Decoding from XML is similarly very easy. Oracle APEX - APEX COLLECTION (Most Important part of APEX )

05:27
Every collection contains a named list of data elements (or members) which can have up to 50 character attributes (VARCHAR2(4000)), five number attributes, five date attributes, one XML Type attribute, one large binary attribute (BLOB), and one large character attribute (CLOB). You insert, update, and delete collection information using the PL/SQL API APEX_COLLECTION. The following are examples of when you might use collections: When you are creating a data-entry wizard in which multiple rows of information first need to be collected within a logical transaction. You can use collections to temporarily store the contents of the multiple rows of information, before performing the final step in the wizard when both the physical and logical transactions are completed. When your application includes an update page on which a user updates multiple detail rows on one page. The user can make many updates, apply these updates to a collection and then call a final process to apply the changes to the database. When you are building a wizard where you are collecting an arbitrary number of attributes. At the end of the wizard, the user then performs a task that takes the information temporarily stored in the collection and applies it to the database. Beginning in Oracle Database 12c, database columns of data type VARCHAR2 can be defined up to 32,767 bytes. This requires that the database initialization parameter MAX_STRING_SIZE has a value of EXTENDED. If Application Express was installed in Oracle Database 12c and with MAX_STRING_SIZE = EXTENDED, then the tables for the Application Express collections will be defined to support up 32,767 bytes for the character attributes of a collection. For the methods in the APEX_COLLECTION API, all references to character attributes (c001 through c050) can support up to 32,767 bytes.

Part 12 Can we join two tables without primary foreign key relation

10:38
Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists http://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2014/09/part-12-can-we-join-two-tables-without.html Can we join two tables without primary foreign key relation Yes, we can join two tables without primary foreign key relation as long as the column values involved in the join can be converted to one type. ID column in Departments table is not the primary Key and DepartmentId column in Employees table is not the foreign key. But we can still join these tables using ID column from Departments table and DepartmentId column from Employees table, as both the columns involved in the join have same data type i.e int. Select Employees.Name as EmployeeName, Departments.Name as DepartmentName from Employees join Departments on Departments.ID = Employees.DepartmentId The obious next question is, if primary foreign key relation is not mandatory for 2 tables to be joined then what is the use of these keys? Primary key enforces uniqueness of values over one or more columns. Since ID is not a primary key in Departments table, 2 or more departments may end up having same ID value, which makes it impossible to distinguish between them based on the ID column value. Foreign key enforces referential integrity. Without foreign key constraint on DepartmentId column in Employees table, it is possible to insert a row into Employees table with a value for DepartmentId column that does not exist in Departments table. The following insert statement, successfully inserts a new Employee into Employees table whose DepartmentId is 100. But we don't have a department with ID = 100 in Departments table. This means this employee row is an orphan row, and the referential integrity is lost as result Insert into Employees values (8, 'Mary', 'Female', 80000, 100) If we have had a foreign key constraint on DepartmentId column in Employees table, the following insert statement would have failed with the following error. Msg 547, Level 16, State 0, Line 1 The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint. The conflict occurred in database "Sample", table "dbo.Departments", column 'ID'.

Tutorial - Create XML file using SSIS Task / POST to SOAP API URL / Export XML data from SQL Server

36:15
In this video you will learn how to generate a complex XML using SSIS (Create XML file using SSIS Control Flow Task / Data Flow Component). You will find this video helpful if you want to export XML data from a SQL Server (or other source e.g. Oracle, MySQL, DB2) to an XML file, you will also learn how to POST XML data to SOAP Web Service URL or submit XML-based REST API URL.. To see all SSIS XML Tasks and other REST / SOAP API related components check this link https://zappysys.com/products/ssis-powerpack ============================== SSIS Components used in this Video ============================== ZappySys PowerPack provides these components to deal with various XML generation scenarios: * SSIS Export XML Task * SSIS XML File Destination * SSIS XML Generator Transform In case you are watching this video but want to read XML files, use SSIS XML Source component or SSIS XML Parser Transform to parse XML from upstream column. ============================== SSIS Export XML File Task ============================== Use Export XML Task when you want to export XML from a database with great performance. Export XML Task supports SQL Server or any other database that you can connect to using ODBC or OLEDB drivers. You can export XML to a file, Azure Blob Storage, Amazon S3 Storage, SFTP or FTPS. With Export XML Task you can export a table as is with minimal configuration or export to a custom layout XML. https://zappysys.com/products/ssis-powerpack/ssis-export-xml-file-task/ Features: * Export multiple tables/views to XML files (e.g. Sales% or do SalesJan|SalesFeb) * Export SQL query output to XML file * Inbuilt Layout Editor for creating complex XML with nested structure (Document Array, Value Array, Nested attributes * Automatically Split exported XML data into multiple files by Size or Number of records * Automatically Split exported XML data into multiple files by Split By Column (e.g. SplitBy=Country will create new file for each country) * Support for Compression and Append * Create Multi content XML documents * Support for SQL Server 2017, 2016, 2014, 2012, 2008 (32/64 bit) and now Azure Data Factory * Articles/Tutorials: XML related articles ============================== SSIS XML File Destination ============================== XML File Destination is very similar to Export XML Task, except that it can use anything from upstream in a Data Flow and then save an XML to a file. XML File Destination, as well as Export XML Task and XML Generator Transform, which I will speak about in a moment, all support multiple data inputs. It means that you can have, for example, Customers as one input, Orders as another, and then join these two on a key to write customers with all their corresponding orders as child elements. https://zappysys.com/products/ssis-powerpack/ssis-xml-destination/ Features: * Generate complex XML document from single or multiple inputs * Easy to use drag & drop layout Editor for creating complex JSON with nested structure * Support for SQL Server 2017, 2016, 2014, 2012, 2008 (32/64 bit) and now Azure Data Factory ============================== SSIS XML Generator Transform ============================== Finally, use XML Generator Transform when you have data coming from upstream in a Data Flow and yet you still need to pass the generated XML downstream. For example, you want to generate an XML that you need to save to a database or submit it to an XML-based API. https://zappysys.com/products/ssis-powerpack/ssis-xml-generator-transform/ Features: * Create simple or nested XML documents inside DataFlow Task using simple drag and drop approach * Ability to create nested XML from Multiple datasets * Ability to create single XML document for all input records or create one document for each input row from ROOT dataset * Preview XML structure as you change layout on User Interface * Ability to join different type of datasets (e.g. SQL Server, Flat File, Excel) to create parent-child relation for nested XML * Support for SQL Server 2017, 2016, 2014, 2012, 2008 (32/64 bit) and now Azure Data Factory ============================== SSIS Web API Destination ============================== SSIS Web API Destination can be used to POST data to any API end point such as JSON API (i.e. POST to REST API) or POST to XML API (i.e. SOAP Web Service). This task provides several advanced options which makes it possible to connect virtually any API Service. https://zappysys.com/products/ssis-powerpack/ssis-web-api-destination-connector/ Features: * POST data to any API endpoint without coding (Read more…) * Support for windows / basic authentication, client certificate and OAuth (Read more…) * Support for File upload, REST API POST using Multipart/form-data (Read more…) * Support for Cookies (Read more…) * Support for Response Output (includes ResponseText and StatusCode) * Support for Error Output (Redirect failed request) * Support for easy Test UI (see request/response)

"XML GENERATOR TRANSFORMATION IN INFORMATICA" SCENARIO 1

12:58
Scenario is like we have employee table which is in Oracle database and we need a csv file which will contain each record with XML tag. Here I am using an expression transformation alongwith XML generator transformation and for this you should have a xsd format or a XML file format. Here I have given dummy value for this which is the structure only we are going to import not the data. I have already created the structure. click on use the element or attribute name for an XML column and tick all the checkbox . click okay . next and now you can see here this is encoding utf8 And The Entity relationship done. If you look on the nature of XML generator you can see there is only one output port that is data output port by default and 4 input ports one is the XML key and other ports are for the fields which we are going to use . Connect these 3 fields, now how to fill this unique key fields. this is required to generate unique csv file , for this what we have ; we have a sequence generator and this will give you a unique combination. You can see the properties of sequence generator. it will start with 0 and increment by 1 . after this what we have to do,we will check the data type of each field. To do this go 2 midstream xml generator tab then click on XML editor.

Attribute-Based Activities Solution

03:07
Purpose: The activity time or other activity action is based on the value of a particular attribute. (For Routings based on activity attributes see Conditional Routings.) Example: Moldings entering an Inspect and Clean operation are either defective or non-defective. The activity time for defective molds is normally distributed with a mean of 2 minutes and a standard deviation of .5 minutes. Non-defective molds have a mean activity time of .6 minutes with a std. dev. of .2 minutes. The model used for this example, as well as all of the modeling "how-to" examples, can be found in the ProModel Solutions Café (http://www.promodel.com/solutionscafe/howto/). This video is part of our Process Simulator "How To" series, and is designed to accompany instructions available in our Process Simulator Help system. Binding components, not just their values

15:05
A demo of using the "binding" attribute to associate an entire UIComponent handle with a Java bean property instead of just linking individual attributes (like "value") to bean properties. This allows your Java code to easily find the component when performing operations like conditional validation, rather than having to resort to using the SSJS getComponent() function to search the entire component tree for the one component you actually care about in that context.

SSIS XML Tutorial Part 1 - Introduction (Export / Create XML / POST to SOAP API URL)

02:42
