Imports & Exports in Brazil - A look inside the port
Importing and exporting in Brazil is a complicated process. The Port of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil is a deep seaport located in All Saints Bay, the oldest port in South America. We came down to the port to get a glimpse inside and take a look at the process. We are opening a trampoline park with many components. There will be over 30 trampolines, a ninja course, climbing wall, foam pit, soft park for infants with a second story slide. Two shipping containers full of our trampoline equipment have just arrived at this port. It has been a long process but here are some tips we learned about importation into Brazil along the way. 1. Do your homework. Find out what taxes apply to the type of products you are shipping but plan on paying around 100% tariffs and fees for your shipment. 2. Choosing a competent supplier who understands the import/export processes is crucial. We did our research. It was more economical to import trampolines into Brazil than to buy them in country. Even with the high tariffs. 3. The three most important documents for customs are Commercial Invoice, Parts List with material composition and Bill of Lading. I cannot stress how important is to make sure these documents are correct. 4. Find a good freight forwarder. A freight forwarder takes care of the shipment from the time it arrives in the port to moving it to your final destination. Before your containers arrive in the port, plan all the logistics. We have about 10 tons of equipment to get from the port to our park in Piata. There are many steps in the process but a good freight forwarder will help you with every detail. We used HC Logistica and are very happy with their services. HC Logística Importação e Exportação LTDA. Endereço: Av. Luis Viana, 6462, Wall Street Empresarial, Sala 107, Torre East (A), Patamares - Paralela, Salvador Bahia - CEP 41.680-400 http://www.hclogistica.com.br The largest exports are petro-chemicals and paper. There is a highway dedicated exclusively to the transportation of the petrochemicals from the refinery to the port. No cars are allowed on this road. There are about 300-400 containers of paper that are shipped to China out of this port every month. We were very impressed at how clean, organized and structured this port was. The employees were kind, skilled and educated. They all spoke English very well. There are big plans to double the size of this port in the next 3 to 5 years. How To Find Import & Export Companies To Sell and Buy
Add me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dbhmatt?fref=ts How to find companies to trade to them? The first way is going through your network. There might be a lot of traders in your network. There is a great number of people who you can meet personally. Everyone probably knows someone who can do deals somewhere. Let’s say that you are trying to sell bier. The chance that you may know someone who is trading bier to Asia is very low. But, you might know a trader who is trading some drinks to many places (not specifically to Asia). There is a high chance that this trader has a network of other drink traders who trade to Asia or any other market you are looking for. Everyone in the industry knows each other. The bigger you are in the industry, the higher the chance is to know more people around the world. Trading is based on: • Knowledge about the industry • Network The basic assumption about how you can make money as a trader is to buy cheaper and sell more expensively. The bigger network you have, the higher the chance is to buy something cheaper and sell it on a higher price. Another way to find a good trader is to find another trader who is trading something else. There is a very big possibility that he could have people in his industry who might be interested in your products. The third approach that you can use is scraping the Internet. There are many websites to find potential traders. The quality of those leads is way lower. You are going to find more leads to sell to, but the quality will be worse. There are so many websites similar to Upwork, but specifically for traders. A good example of a trader website is Alibaba. People are posting many offers that they are looking for something. You apply for them and hope people to choose you. They are looking to deliver something to you and you approach them. Most of these websites require a membership fee. Instead of paying that fee, you can just look for their company name on the Internet. 1. Go to Google. 2. Search for websites where there is a list of people trading something. 3. Find 50 people who are offering the product that you are looking for or who are willing to buy that product. 4. Mass mail all of them. 5. Qualify them by asking them questions? The response rate in those websites from people who you are trying to sell to will be around 5%. The response rate from people who you are trying to buy from will be higher, around 25%. Then, you can go to China. Meet those people in person and make deals with them. First of all, you have to qualify them whether they are the right fit or not.

5 Mistakes New Importers Make When Importing Products from China
Discover the 5 mistakes new importers make when they are importing products from China. Don’t make the same mistakes! Get our free ebook: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step Freightos: http://wholesaleted.com/go/freightos First mistake importers make when importing products from China: Assuming that shipping by sea will be the cheapest option A lot of new importers think they will save money if they ship by sea rather than air. On the surface it seems cheaper as importers usually pay around 60 cents/KG when shipping via sea, compared to the $7/KG when shipping by air courier. Unfortunately what they don’t realize is that the reason it’s that cheap is because when shipping via sea, you ship via container, and you need to rent an entire container. They are very large and require you to be shipping hundreds of KGs to be making it worth your time. If you are an Amazon private label seller, you are unlikely to have enough stock being shipped to fill a container by at least 60-70% so it will be cheaper to ship by air. When shipping by air, you have two options: 1) Air freight 2) Air courier Air courier is when you have your items shipped door-to-door. It is the easiest but the most expensive per KG (although in smaller quantities it is cheaper). Air freight is when you have your items flown from one airport to the other. You will need to organize other additional services: * Having the items delivered to the airport * A customs broker * Having the items delivered from the airport to the final location. There are a lot of fixed fees with this which means it becomes cheaper to use air freight with larger quantities. To figure out which option will be cheaper for you, I recommend using Freightos. Second mistake importers make when importing products from China: Not using the Metric system In China, they use the Metric system and not the Imperial system. So be sure to use KGs instead of lbs and CM instead of inches. It’s important to remember that when working with Chinese suppliers that they expect you to work on their terms and their timeframes. It can be frustrating, but it’s worth it for the cheap Chinese products you import! Third mistake importers make when importing products from China: Using Less than Container Load for shipping When shipping by sea, you have two options: 1) FCL which stands for Full Container Load 2) LCL which stands for Less than Container Load Inexperienced importers fall for the trap of shipping with LCL because they see that the price are extremely cheap. What they don’t realize is that these LCL companies have special deals with the ports to charge you extremely high Destination Service Charges. The LCL companies then make their money in the form of a “rebate” which is essentially commissions/kickbacks. Destination Service Charges are usually priced per-container and cost between $500-$1000 per container for ports in the USA. But when shipping by LCL you end up paying a high fee per cubic meters. It means that you often end up paying a fee comparable to shipping an entire container. Don’t fall for this trap: If you can’t break even with FCL, then ship by air. Fourth mistake importers make when importing products from China: not calculating the correct duties you will need to pay When you import products from China, you will need to pay duties at the border. If you don’t calculate the correct rate you can get a shock if it comes back as more than you expected. Duties can be a bit complicated to work out because there are a lot of variables. For example, if you imported woolen jackets, you need to consider which country the wool came from, as some countries (like Israel) have duty-free agreements over wool, which would reduce the duties you had to pay. On the other hand if synthetic fibres were used instead of pure wool, then your duty rates would be higher since there are higher duties applied to synthetic fibres within the USA. To figure out what your duty rate is, find out what the HTS (Harmonized Tax System) code is for your item. To find this, ask your Chinese supplier as they will most likely know. You can then go through the HTS manual and find what the duty rate is for the HTS code of your products. Fifth mistake importers make when importing products from China: being afraid to make mistakes And finally - don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Through making mistakes you learn how to overcome them the next time and make even more money. Mistakes are apart of entrepreneurship. Learn from others - and learn from your own as well!

Importing from China - Sourcing Products from Chinese Suppliers
Importing from China is a fantastic way to source private label products. Chinese suppliers are high-profit, low-cost! Interested in making $10,000/Month? Download our free ebook here: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step Please note: this description contains affiliate links Importing from China is something that I strongly recommend. It is much cheaper to purchase product from Chinese suppliers compared to USA suppliers. Some people find this idea very daunting, especially the cultural barrier. To help you, we’ve created this video outlining some of our top tips when importing from China. Tip #1: Order the minimal order quantity to start with when importing from China To be on the safe side, you should always start with the minimal order quantity when dealing with a new supplier. I understand that a lot of sellers want to start out by ordering larger quantities. This makes sense, because the more you order the lower the cost is per-item, and the higher your profit margins. It also means that you will have a smaller chance of running out of stock. In Spite of this, when importing from China with a new Chinese supplier, I recommend starting with the minimal order quantity (EVEN if you know it’ll sell well) because you want to test the quality. It is much harder to go from producing 1 unit to producing 200… and even harder to go from producing 200 to 1000. On that note, you should ALWAYS be ordering a test product when dealing with a new Chinese supplier! You’ll have to pay for the shipping, but it is extremely important to do this to check the quality even if the supplier has a lot of reviews on Alibaba. Tip #2: Do due diligence on the supplier That said, reviews on Alibaba are very important. When using Alibaba to source Chinese suppliers, check the reviews. Only work with suppliers that have positive reviews. Be sure to check the address of the supplier on Google Maps. Ensure that there is a factory at the address noted. If there isn’t a factory, then it is likely a middle man… which means you’re paying inflated prices, and not the at-cost price. And pick up the phone and give them a call. Make sure someone picks up the phone and talks to you (yes - this may seem obvious, but a lot of people don’t do this simple thing). Even better is if you can find people who can personally recommend Chinese suppliers to you. This way, you can work with suppliers that you can trust from the get-go. Tip #3: Build a strong relationship with your supplier and representative This is an important lesson not just when importing from China but for business and life in general. Treat people with respect and they will treat you with respect as well. Think about it: If someone was disrespectful to you, would you want to help them? On the other hand, if someone is nice to you, don’t you want to help them? Be respectful, and friendly. In addition, Chinese suppliers like you to be formal in your communication style with them. They like to be told directly that you appreciate their business and are happy with the products being produced. They will be hoping to turn you into a long-term client, and want the positive feedback, so be sure to give it to them. Tip #4: Don’t feel you need to speak Mandarin When importing from China, some people get put off by the perceived language barrier. “But I only know English… can I still import from China?” Yes - you can! Chinese factories have English representatives specifically for people like you. Their English is good and you’ll have minimal language barriers. Don’t let this stop you from profiting from the very cheap products you can source from China. Now, when importing from China there are some things you can do to minimize the language barrier. One, use short sentences, and do not include extra fluff. Be straight to the point. Two, use professional language, do not use slang. Three, be aware that there are multiple types of “English.” Four, don’t assume that your representative knows YOUR particular flavour of English. Avoid country-specific words and isms. Tip #5: Remember that when importing from China “yes” doesn’t always mean YES. In China it is considered impolite for the suppliers to say no. So, even when they want to say no… they are unlikely to, and will often say yes instead. However, this doesn’t mean it is a yes. It is a no. But they will say “yes” anyway. It is one frustrating quirk. If you sense any hesitation in their “yes” ask them the same question, be reworded differently multiple times. If you ever get a “maybe” that is almost always a no! We hope you enjoyed our video and learned some tips for importing from Chinese suppliers. Do you want to learn how to earn over $10,000 a month on Amazon, with dropshipping? Will Donald Trump's War KILL Dropshipping & Amazon?! (Why Chinese Products Are So Cheap)
Will Donald Trump's escalating Trade War with China kill dropshipping & Amazon FBA?! ►► Free eBook - 6 Steps to a 6 Figure Store: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step ►► Join The Dropship Club Now: https://thedropshipclub.com PLEASE NOTE: This channel is politically neutral. We will not talk about any political opinions on it. The comment section however is free for you to sound-off your opinions. WHAT is a Trade War? For those who don’t know: It’s when Country A increases tariffs (import taxes on products imported from country B) to discourage people from importing them in the first place In retaliation, Country B increases their tariffs (import taxes on products that they buy from Country A) Which becomes a back-and-forth retaliation. This is China and USA’s current situation. On June 15th, Donald Trump declared that the US would impose a 25% tariff on $50 billion dollars’ worth of Chinese imported goods in response to unfair trading practices. This was enough to kill profit margins for many sellers - and potentially kill a lot of businesses. Trump also added if China responded with their own tariffs the US would impose 10% tariffs on an ADDITIONAL $200 billion dollars’ worth of Chinese imported goods. China responded pretty much immediately by imposing their own similar tariffs on US imported goods. Which has now locked both countries into an economic battle. So, what does this trade war mean for YOU as an online seller? It’s a common assumption that products are cheap in China due to cheap slave labour. And while there’s some truth in this, working conditions have MASSIVELY improved. For example: The Pearl River Delta region of China - notorious for the production of big brand toys - used to have terrible conditions between the 90s - 2000s that left many workers injured. This is much different today where enormous labour reforms have been put in place to protect the rights of the workers. Due to this, the cost of labour rose, but still remains cheap for online sellers to source products from China. How is this so? *THE BELT ROAD INITIATIVE* For those who don’t know, this is: China’s development strategy to create roads, train tracks and shipping ports that connect to Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The Silk Road Economic Belt - a series of 6 land corridors - contains roads and train tracks to connect China to a slew of countries. The dark side to this development was its funding strategy. In the past, China loaned $8 billion dollars to a country you’d consider “too risky” to loan - Sri Lanka. China knew they most likely WON’T pay this back, but they didn’t mind. They instead used this debt to further their Belt Road Initiative. As a result of not being able to pay the debt, the Sri Lanka government made a compromise: They would give them a 70% stake and a 99-year lease of their shipping port, Hambantota, which had been built with money they had initially borrowed from China. This made it cheaper and easier for China to export its goods around the world AND import key raw materials, like oil and iron ore. They then turn these raw materials into goods and export them back out again. As a result, this infrastructure network lowers the cost of producing goods, hence why we all import from China. So why don’t online sellers need to worry about this Trade War? Well first, China is king of producing common, everyday goods. In fact, the majority of goods imported by the US from China fall under the bracket of “everyday goods” - like electronics, clothing and kitchenware. And it’s these goods that are similar to what most online sellers focus on. But Donald Trump has NO INTENTION to compete with China over these. He doesn’t care about manufacturing everyday goods. What he’s interested in, is competing with China with HIGH-TECH GOODS. High-tech fields like robotics, automobiles, and pharmaceutical products are currently dominated by other countries, including the United States. And THIS is what Donald Trump’s tariffs are all about. NOT the types of items most small online sellers import and sell. Remember back at the beginning of this video when I talked about how the US has imposed 25% tariffs on billions of dollars of Chinese imported goods? The vast majority of these products include raw materials and industrial goods used in high-tech industries. Dropshipper and Amazon FBA sellers don’t sell these types of goods. And the vast majority of products they DO sell aren’t even on the list. Besides this, import packages need to exceed $800 to be even eligible for tariffs. An amount that most importing packages online sellers make never exceed. Additionally, the $200 billion dollar worth of goods that Trump threatened to target in retaliation isn’t much of a threat to online sellers. The majority of products on the list are related to high-tech fields, raw materials or food (which again, has nothing to do with online sellers).

How to Import from India & do Trade in India
Discover how to import from India, and how you can do trade in India. Get our free 10k/month ebook: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step Get SaleHoo: http://wholesaleted.com/get/salehoo Please note - this video description contains affiliate links. When people think about importing goods from overseas, they usually jump to China, and they don’t consider other countries like India. But this is a big mistake! The India export market is huge, and they are one of the biggest biggest exporters in the world. You can import items very cheaply, which is why I very strongly recommend considering Indian exports and not getting “stuck” on just importing from China. Tip #1 to help you import from India: Know the markets that India are world leaders in. There are several industries where India are world leaders in manufacturing and exporting. If you’re selling items in these industries and looking to import, consider doing trade in India. Here are the industries that India are world leaders in: * Generic pharmaceutical drugs, * Cotton textiles, * Cereal * Local spices, * Cosmetics, * Paper products, * Toiletries and * Leather shoes & clothes. (I think that there is a big opportunity for importing generic pharmaceutical drugs, relabelling them yourself and selling them via Amazon’s FBA program… just saying!) Tip #2 to help you import from India: Do due diligence on your suppliers. The same goes for importing products from China: Do due diligence on your importers. Pick up the phone, give them a call. Look up their address in Google Maps and ensure a factory is located there. If you’re using SaleHoo to find Indian suppliers, then they will have done due diligence for you. If you’re Alibaba India, look for gold suppliers who have an 80%+ response rate. And if you’re using suppliers from Trade India, look for suppliers that have Trust Badges, Premium Seller emblems and that have been on the site for at least one year. Tip #3 to help you import from India: Start with the minimum order quantity and get a sample product first. It doesn’t matter whether you’re importing from China or India, you should be getting a sample product shipped to you first to test the quality. If you like the sample product, then start out with a supplier’s minimum order quantity. If that goes well, then increase the order size. Starting out with the minimum order quantity protects yourself against bad manufacturers. Tip #4 to help you import from India: Negotiate prices and do research on shipping options. In India, everything is negotiable. Be prepared to negotiate the initial price down. Shopping around and getting quotes from other suppliers will help you when negotiating. Do the same thing for shipping: Get your own quotes so that you can be in a strong position in negotiating when doing trade in India. Tip #5 to help you import from India: Don’t rely on deadlines or time frames. When doing trade in India, business can be surprisingly lax and carefree. In India, family takes precedent over business. If a family issue came up, it would not be unusual for a business meeting to be cancelled. But there is a funny cultural quirk: While they can be lax and show up late, as a Westerner, you are expected to show up on time. It may not seem “fair” but it is best to not question it. Because business can be lax, it means that you shouldn’t rely on deadlines and time frames. This may put some people off Indian exports, but there are many upsides to working with Indian suppliers. Their exports are cheap, great quality and they are very loyal business partners. Consider the pro’s and con’s. Tip #6 to help you import from India: They don’t like to say “no.” Just like when importing from China, when you’re importing from India, they don’t like saying “no” when doing business. If an Indian supplier says “possibly” or “we’ll see” or “I’ll try” then you should push for clarification. If you push for a yes or a no, they will give it to you. Try as best as you can to do this in a non-confrontational way, when doing trade in India it is frowned upon to be confrontational.

UK Duty & VAT Explained
When buying goods from outside the EU you’ll have to pay duties and taxes to UK Customs to have them released into the country. Most shipments are subject to Duty and VAT and these are the two main costs to understand before importing. What Duty Will I have to Pay? The amount of Duty you’ll have to pay depends on the declared value of the goods and the type of product that you're importing. Each product is given a different duty rating or percentage. This is normally between zero and 12%. You’ll pay the appropriate percentage for your product on the value of the import. What about Import VAT? VAT on an Import is payable, nearly always at the standard rate, on the amount that you pay for your goods, plus the shipping cost and the Duty. You are effectively paying VAT on everything that it costs for you to buy the goods and get them into circulation in the UK. Give me an Example It’s slightly more complicated than this but crudely… let’s assume you pay your supplier $1500 (we’ll call it £1000) for your goods, the UK Duty rating for these particular goods is 5% and the shipping quote is £350. The UK Duty will be 5% of the cost of your goods. 5% of £1000 is £50. VAT is then payable on the cost of the goods, plus the shipping cost, plus the Duty. These total £1400 and VAT at 20% of that is £280. Cost of Goods : £1000 Duty Rating : 5% Shipping Cost : £350 UK Duty : 5% of £1000 = £50.00 Import VAT : £1000 + £350 + 50 = £1400; 20% VAT on £1400 = £280 On this example the total duties and taxes payable to import these goods would be £330.00 (£50 for UK Duty and £280 for VAT) in addition to the £350 shipping cost. For more information on duties, taxes or shipping costs give us a call on 0203 384 0498 or email us on [email protected] with the details.

China’s Appetite for Canadian Agri-Food Products
0:05 Can you give us an overview of the Chinese agriculture market and Canada's exports in this sector? 3:38 What are the challenges for Canadian companies trying to break into the Chinese food market? 6:31 How can the Trade Commissioner Service in China help Canadian companies that are interested in the Chinese market? If you're a Canadian SME and have questions about doing business in China, please send us your questions by email at [email protected] All services of the Trade Commissioner Service are FREE of charge to qualified Canadian clients. Can you give us an overview of the Chinese agriculture market and Canada's exports in this sector? I think the factors that are really driving the change in consumption patterns, consumption of food and beverage patterns in China are urbanization, the growing middle class, and the rising incomes of the middle class. So we are seeing more and more consumption of proteins in China, meat and fish, so traditionally, China has been a consumer of pork, and they still largely are a pork consuming country, but we are seeing a diversification on the types of meat that Chinese people are consuming. We see more beef being consumed, more poultry, wider variety of seafood, including crustaceans. This creates a lot of opportunities for countries around the world, to sell high quality meat and seafood to China, but also creates a lot of opportunities related to live stock productions. So if it's not the finished, ready to eat product, it could be the primary inputs such as animal feed, genetics and other technology related to livestock production. We are also seeing a robust growth in dairy; the dairy consumption has leveled off somewhat in terms of the growth rates. But in certain categories, we are still seeing fairly robust growth, for example, new HT milk, baby formulas is a big one, and yogurt. So I think when I've to encapsulate the characteristics of the changes in the Chinese market, I think we are seeing something similar to what we see in the west. Where more and more people are busy and time-poor, so they are demanding convenience food, they are eating out more. But at the same time, people want to consume healthy foods, so I think for example, if you can market your product as a ready-to-eat or something that can be prepared fairly quickly, but at the same time, you can stress the health characteristics of the food, I think that type of product can do very well in China. So for Canada, we have a very strong reputation in China for our agricultural products, we have strong reputation right around the world. We are number 5 exporter of agriculture and seafood products, and 2014 we exported about $56 billion to over 180 countries around the world, and China is our number 2 market, so roughly the 10% of the $56 billion or 5 and half billion was destined for China. As I said, we have a very strong reputation in China. For example, the wheat that we sell to China is used in the production of the top bakery products. The barley that we sale to China is used in the top breweries to produce very high quality beer. The canola seed is used to produce one of the world's healthiest edible oils, and as well as the canola meal is used in apiculture and in dairy in China, and it is recognized for its excellent qualities. So we have a strong reputation and I think that reputation is expanding and it is going to cover a wider range of products, so Canada is well-known for our seafood, out cold water shrimp, our lobster, our crab, our fruit as well: Canadian cherries and soon Canadian blueberries will be available in the Chinese market. Our beef is highly recognized, ice wine is being recognized as being a unique Canadian product, water, honey, confectionery, maple syrup, a wide range of products. So Canada's reputation is strong and it is growing. Q: What are the challenges for Canadian companies trying to break into the Chinese food market? A: China is a very exciting, growing market, but it’s not without its challenges. So there are a few things that Canadian companies should be aware of, number one is market access. Not all products, not all agri-food, seafood and beverage products have access to the market. For example, package food, beverage, generally, these products will have easy process to get market access. But for meat and for plant based products, there’s a negotiated process that is required. So it’s very important for companies to check with the trade commissioner service, to see what the status is for market access in China. Another important area is technical regulations, so I’m talking about things like food safety standards and labeling. We have seen in the past where products enter the Chinese port, but are destroyed because they ...

How To Buy From Alibaba. What you should take care while ordering from alibaba
Alibaba is the best website when it comes to ordering goods from China. China has a lot of manufacturers of various categories like mobile accessories, mobile phones, computer peripherals, watches, shoes, electronic products, electronic gadgets and much more. Subscribe to My Channel and Get More Great Tips: https://goo.gl/lJ8e17 The best reason so many people order from alibaba is because of the cheap price and all type of quality that is available from the manufacturers. There are millions of people from the world orders from alibaba and china exports maximum products from their country to the order parts of the world. It is also very important to know few important things before you start to import from china through alibaba. If we talked about Indian consumer market there is a huge demand of Chinese products because of the low price and the good quality basis. Lot of e Commerce website flipkart Snapdeal Paytm ShopClues eBay they are so much dependent on Chinese products due to their low product value and good quality. Most of the importers who gets the products from China through Alibaba sell their products on these Marketplace website at a very low price. This makes it very difficult for new online sellers to sell products at a good price because they will not earn any profit from the sale. This is why I have shown in this video how you can import products from China, how to import from China through Alibaba. Many people also ask if you need any import export licence to get the products from China. The answer is yes, you need import export licence if you wish to bring products from China to sell in India legally. I would advise everyone of you to have import export licence if you wish to import products from China and sell in India in bulk. The import export licence or you can also call IE licence is very easily available for people who wants to do import export business. It doesn't cost much and can be easily available on a price of around 250 to 500 rupees. So it is better to have import export licence if you want to import products from China through Alibaba. Now, you need to remember these points while you are from Alibaba. These points are very critical specially for those people who are doing the business for the first time in alibaba.com. Please make a note of these points why you do a purchase from Alibaba and try to sell it in India at low price. 1) verify if the person is a manufacturer for a middleman. Avoid dealing with a middleman as you will not get a good deal from Alibaba if you are trying to deal through a middleman. 2) verify the address of the manufacturer and also called the manufacturer through your mobile phone or you can call through WhatsApp on Skype. 3) verify the address of the manufacturer in Google Maps 4) negotiate with manufacturer. 5) as the manufacturer to send a sample. 6) make it very clear with the manufacturer about the payment terms. 7) get clear information about the shipping date and the overall order processing time before you make the payment. 8) check the manufacturer of the seller ratings and reviews before doing a purchase. 9) consider looking at the response rate in Alibaba before doing a transaction with them. 10) send a quote request to the manufacturer asking them to give you the best rate for certain quantity beginning. Please make sure you follow these steps or more if you can from your side before you place an order or close a deal in Alibaba to order products in bulk. Also know that if someone tells you that they will get the product for you from China without paying any custom duty or import duty then do not believe that person very easily. It is practically not possible and legally not advised to do anything that sort. It is always better to pay custom duty and import duty whichever is applicable to make sure that you do not fall in trouble in the future. Alibaba is a very nice website for Sourcing millions of products which you can sell at a very good rate in India provided you are following the right steps and the guidelines said by the indian government. SEA SHIPPING / Freight Forwarders - Everything you need to know - USA and UK
My FULL Amazon FBA UK Course: https://goo.gl/kdLHBW FREE AMAZON FBA UK FACEBOOK GROUP: https://goo.gl/TBPSnn FREE AMAZON FBA UK SELLERS GROUP: https://goo.gl/FpFLcQ 👌SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/jonnybradley Adam Marsek - FBA Forwarding Limited Email: [email protected] Mention that he came recommended by Jonny Bradley Full list of Shipping terms: http://www.mainfreight.be/en/info_point/incoterms.aspx CORRECTION*: The term co-loading means transferring cargo by a freight forwarder to another carrier either to a freight forwarder or consolidator. (Middleman) - Freight Charge Terms FOB – Free on Board (or Freight on Board). This basically means that the cost of delivering the goods to the nearest port is included but YOU, as the buyer, are responsible for the shipping from there and all other fees associated with getting the goods to your country/address. EXW (Ex-Works) – also sometimes referred to as the Ex-Factory price. This basically means the cost of the product and nothing else! No shipping costs or export fees in China are included in this price, never mind local port and custom fees or delivery to your door. CIF – Cost, Insurance and Freight. In this case, the price also includes sea freight charges and insurance to deliver the goods to YOUR nearest port. But only to the port – from that point onwards, you take the shipment into your hands. CNF – Cost & Freight (or Cost, no Insurance, Freight). Similar to CIF only this time insurance is not included. DDP - Is a transaction where the seller (Manufacturer) pays for the total costs associated with transporting goods and is fully responsible for the goods until they are received and transferred to the buyer. This is the best type of shipping arrangement if your supplier is handling the entire shipment as they deal with everything for you. What do you need? (UK) Bill of Lading ⁃ Supplier (shipper) ⁃ Importer ⁃ delivery address ⁃ instructions ⁃ bill of lading number ⁃ Carrier name ⁃ Freight charge terms (FOB - CIF) ⁃ Commodity Description ⁃ Quantity Commercial Invoice ⁃ States value ⁃ For customs ⁃ For VAT Packing List / Shipping list / waybill /delivery list ⁃ Quantity, type of products Fee Breakdown Freight Forwarder - Total - £348 - Terminal Handling - £69 - Documentation - £100 - Co-Loader Fee - £30 - Customs Clearance - £45 - Pallet Fee x1 - £9.50 - Delivery to warehouse - £95 ——— Sea Shipping - Everything you need to know!
