Las Vegas Travel Tips: 10 Things to Know Before You Go to Las Vegas

19:52
Things YOU need to know before you travel to Las Vegas Nevada. Las Vegas is Big, so is the Strip. Things are much further away than they seem from looking on a map. it will take you at least a 15-30 minute walk to get to a different hotel than your own. The Las Vegas strip is 4 miles. Find the shortcuts between hotels (Bally’s to Paris). Bring Comfortable Footwear. Leave the 4 inch heels at home, or have a second pair. Use the free trams (Luxor to Excalibur) (Monte Carlo to Bellagio). The monorail is pretty convenient too. Don’t try to hail Taxis on the strip, they won’t stop, it’s illegal. Go to a hotel taxi stand to get a taxi, be prepared to wait in line. And traffic at 6pm is awful 2. Downtown Las Vegas Is really far. $30 cab ride But the Freemont Street Experience is cool And it’s neat to see “old” vegas People say the best slot machine odds are downtown (worst at the airport) 3. Hotels Don’t pick the cheapest hotels… You’ll regret that $25/night rate. If you want to be in the “middle” stay around Caesars Palace Resort fees… ugh! Many strip hotels are charging for parking, loyalty program might get it for free If you like “peace and quiet” pick a non-casino hotel. I usually stay at Marriott properties a block or two off the strip, no resort or parking fees. 4. Gambling Learn the games, lots of free classes at Casinos Join the Player’s Clubs Lots of free perks Front of line, free parking, discounts on shows, food, etc 5. It’s the desert Drink plenty of water, it’s dry all the time Buy the water at a supermarket. Can be $6 a bottle at the casino In the summer its really hot! Wear suncreen In the winter it can be really cold and windy! Bring a jacket Nov-Feb. The casinos are always super cold… so bring a light jacket or sweater even in summer 6. When to go? When there isn’t a convention in town… check the convention calendars Mid-week and Christmas is also a slow time Vegas doesn’t close… ever it’s 24/7 7. Food Is awesome Do some research before you go -- there are lots of good restaurants, but they aren’t the obvious ones For example, Bouchon is hidden up some random elevator in the Venetian If there’s a famous restaurant somewhere else in the world that you’ve wanted to eat at, it might very well have a location in Vegas For Example HofBrauHaus from Munich Can be expensive But can be cheap. You can still find a T-bone steak for $4.95 Cheapest is usually downtown Chinatown has good eats too Breakfast is available 24/7 7.1. Buffets are great, But just once a day Twice a day is overdoing it! The time at the end of lunch right before dinner is the best deal IF you time it perfectly with the line But the lines can be LONG, think hours, 1, 2, 3 hours even. Eat dinner at 5pm or 8:30pm to avoid the rush. 7.2. You can drink alcohol anywhere Leaving a hotel? Ask for a to-go cup and drink on the sidewalk 8. ATMs are super expensive Standard Vegas ATM fee is like $6 Bring Cash Bank ATMS are hard to find 9. Smoking Seems to be allowed everywhere larger megaresorts have higher ceilings and good filtration systems, but the smaller, older casinos can get quite smoky. 10. Tipping Everybody wants a tip in Vegas 15-20% for restaurants Costumed people on the streets want money for photos CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/yellowwsub WATCH ALL of my LAS VEGAS videos in one Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOVadUHX1B-JzE5fiVleugu6HTYLsr2sk Or you might enjoy watching some of these other videos from Las Vegas: Best Free Show in Las Vegas: https://youtu.be/DdkInoCP_vQ Best Cheap Eats in Vegas: https://youtu.be/m_wk3tWZTHs Marriott's Grand Chateau Las Vegas Review: https://youtu.be/QW4txjeB3DI Yellow Productions on social media: FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/YellowProductionsTravel INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/yellowwproductions/ TWITTER: ChrisRaney GOOGLE+: https://google.com/+yellowwproductions Check out my blog at: http://yelloww.net

How to travel the world with almost no money | Tomislav Perko | TEDxTUHH

18:19
Many people daydream about traveling the world, but all of them have the same excuse - lack of money. Tomislav, after traveling the world for years with almost no money, shows how it is possible for everyone to do the same, if they really want to. Tomislav Perko, 29, is a travel writer from Croatia. After a career of a stockbroker, broke because of the financial crisis, he hits the road and turns it into his home. He uses alternative ways of traveling – hitchhiking, couchsurfing, working/volunteering, and manages to wander around the world with just a little bit of money in his pocket, meeting the most amazing people on the way. Five years later, he publishes a book “1000 Days of Spring” and goes around giving lectures about what it means to live on the road. Find out more on his website: http://tomislavperko.com/en/. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

NYC Travel Tips: 10 Things to Know Before You Go to New York City

19:55
Things YOU need to know before you travel to New York City. NYC consists of 5 Boroughs, Manhattan, the most famous and dense is also the smallest. Brooklyn is the most populated, with 2.6 million residents (total of 8.5M in NYC). Queens is the largest, and “most ethnically diverse” county in the US. Bronx is the northenmost and the only one that is part of the US Mainland. Staten Island is the most suburban Manhattan is BIG -- don’t expect to walk the whole thing in a day 5 days is probably the sweet spot. No less than 3 days. Wear comfortable shoes Girls: Sex and the City says everybody walks in heels all the time -- not so much. Don’t try and walk everywhere, the subway is there for a reason. NYC is Expensive! Everything costs more here. The city runs on tips New Yorkers aren’t really rude.. They are just efficient. Expect to pay to use a bathroom, there really aren’t many good public toilets Weather For about 8 months out of the year it is chilly. And, for about 3 months it’s just plain miserable. Be prepared for really cold and windy, or really hot, humid, and muggy. Be prepared to rain always. Summer: Highs 84F/29C Lows: 68F/20C (July) Winter: Highs: 38F/3C - Lows 25F/-4C (January) Winter Footwear -- puddles the size of small lakes Layers Best months: September, October, May and June Getting in Airports LaGuardia (M80 Bus) JFK (Airtrain to Howard Beach then catch the subway) Newark (30 mins on Amtrak or NJ Transit) Beware of unnoficial cabs Trains -- to Penn Station or Grand Central. Grand Central is amazing. Megabus if you’re on the east coast Driving -- if you do drive in… just plan to park and leave your car for the duration of your stay. Transportation in NYC The Subway mostly runs north south… east and west you’ll be walking it If you’re in NYC for awhile, get a week or month long Subway pass Avoid the empty subway car, it’s empty for a reason. Hot or smelly. Don’t lean on the subway poles… more people can hold on to it Pay attention to the local, or express trains. Get in the subway at the correct entrance, going the right direction, and for the right line There are tons of yellow taxis… but they are notoriously hard to hail in bad weather Flagship city for Uber, Lyft. But traffic is slow. If you’re running late, don’t take a taxi. You WILL get stuck in traffic. Walking -- don’t drop in the middle of the sidewalk Ferrys for a different way to get around NYC Ferry - East River route for some of the best views Citi Bikes -- 10,000 bikes and 600 stations -- Download the citi bike app - $12/day Bus Tours -- skip it Times Square Crowded, chaotic, dazzling and overpriced Is really small -- and there’s not much to do once you get there. Whatever you do, don’t eat here. The food is overpriced and mediocre due to high rent. Broadway Shows Book way ahead of time There’s a vibrant “Off-Broadway” Scene Book of Mormon and Avenue Q are my favorites Check out the TKTs booth for cheap tickets or online now Parks (Central Park & the High Line) Central Park Is really big -- and no subway across Central Park is 800 Acres Strawberry Fields, Sheep’s Meadow, ice skating rinks. Visit the High Line on a weekday to avoid the crowds Big Apple Attractions Statue of Liberty -- book ahead of time Cant get tix for the Statue of Liberty, ride the Staten Island Ferry for free! Empire State Building -- Long Lines Top of the Rock is really cool -- great views of the Empire State New WTC Observatory 9/11 Memorial ($2 Reservation Fee Museum of Modern Art Metropolitan Museum of Art American Museum of Natural History (Suggested Admission) Chelsea Market New York Public Library Flatiron Building Shopping along 5th Avenue Hotels Expensive! Save some money by staying in Queens, Brooklyn, or Staten Island If money is no object -- the Park Hyatt is amazing Marriott Marquis on Times Square in the middle of it all Food Food carts and trucks can be really good The Halal Guys is a “must eat” Grimaldi’s Pizza (In Brooklyn under the bridge) and Lomardis in Little Italy Pastrami on Rye Shake Shack started here Chinatown Get noodles at Xi’an Famous Foods (location in Chinatown) Bagels with Lox New York Hotdogs from Gray’s Papaya New York Cheesecake CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/yellowwsub Click here to watch more of my New York City videos in my NYC Travel Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gP9uQKpzFA&list=PLOVadUHX1B-Lz1jCrYEnaoFpon0MwO9JJ Yellow Productions on social media: FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/YellowProductionsTravel INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/yellowwproductions/ TWITTER: ChrisRaney GOOGLE+: https://google.com/+yellowwproductions Check out my blog at: http://yelloww.net Music: Easy Lemon Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)

The real reason I traveled to 196 countries | Cassie De Pecol | TEDxMileHigh

14:00
In 2017, 27-year-old Cassie De Pecol set two Guinness World Records for the fastest travel around the world to every sovereign country. Join Cassie for an in depth look at how she did it, what it was like, and for the first time publicly, the real reason why she started the expedition. Cassie De Pecol is a world traveler, keynote speaker, brand ambassador, triathlete, activist, and entrepreneur. Born in 1989, she was raised and homeschooled in rural Connecticut. She enjoyed "out of the box" educational and multicultural experiences at various universities before deciding to begin her solo travels to 25 countries at the age of 21. In 2015, she started fresh, traveling alone to all 196 countries and securing two Guinness World Records. Quit My Job To Travel The World (One Second Every Day)

GET $30 OFF AIRBNB - http://bit.ly/JordAirBnB WHERE I GET MY MUSIC - http://bit.ly/2H8jFaz MY GEAR - https://goo.gl/CRZQHC Follow my Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/thelifeofjord In 2014 I quit my job and sold my stuff to travel the world. Since then I have been filming one second every day to create this video. When I began making this video I had already planned to use One Day (Wankelmut Remix) as the backing music. Then it just so happened that Wankelmut was playing in Perth! (where I am now). Not one to miss an opportunity, I messaged him and he told me to come down and film the final scene. What a guy! Unfortunately I had my camera stolen after 8 months and so I lost a lot of footage. I've tried to piece together what I had to create this video, but there were a lot more awesome clips that aren't even on here! Travel has changed my life and I have no plans on stopping any time soon. That's why this year, starting October 1st, I will be creating a daily video blog showing you how I travel the World on a budget. No glitz. No glamour. Just a man and his backpack. GET $30 OFF AIRBNB - http://bit.ly/JordAirBnB (and stay for free!) WHERE I GET MY MUSIC - http://bit.ly/2H8jFaz (sign up for a free trial!) MY GEAR - https://goo.gl/CRZQHC (everything I use to travel) - If you want to see more then just subscribe! You can also follow me on: http://www.twitter.com/thelifeofjord http://www.instagram.com/thelifeofjord http://www.facebook.com/thelifeofjord http://www.thelifeofjord.com music by https://soundcloud.com/wankelmut - Here are the answers to some of your questions: How much did you save? After selling all my stuff, and paying off my overdraft and credit cards, I had roughly £5000 ($9000US). This isn’t a massive amount of money to travel on for a year, but if you budget right then it’s still more than enough. What was your budget? On average I spent 20-25 USD a day. This worked out as more in certain places (e.g. Europe, Dubai) and less in others (e.g. India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Indonesia). I stayed in hostels and dorms everywhere to keep the costs down and ate mostly local street food or cooked myself. I didn’t do any organized tours and prioritized the tourist attractions I wanted to pay for. I travelled slowly and learned to barter – everything is negotiable. What countries did you visit? The countries I went to in the past year, in order, are: Spain, France, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, UAE, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. I’ve been traveling ever since. What did you edit with and what were the cameras? I used Premiere Pro CC to edit the video and it was all filmed on a GoPro 3 Black and Sony Handycam. How has this trip changed you? One of the ways in which this trip has changed my outlook is that I want to lead a location independent life, at least for the next few years. This means I just want to continue traveling the World, working off my laptop and picking up extra money where I can. What I really want to do is show people first-hand how possible it is to travel the world on a budget. Before you do it, it seems like an impossible task and often people don’t believe that it is viable on a budget of 20-25USD a day. That’s what I want to make my life about and use my channel for. Hopefully with your support, I can make that a reality. Any more questions, please post them below and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!

California to New York: A Complete Road Trip

06:50:16
This is a complete road trip compilation from Santa Monica, California to New York City over eight different days from June-September, 2017 - all recorded in time-lapse at 4fps (nearly 100,000 frames total). Of the 3,253 miles (5,235 kilometers) driven, about 3 miles of this drive is missing, mostly in Colorado near Poncha Springs. Nearly all of this drive was done in daytime, but there is about 10 minutes of this video done in darkness in Arizona (about 1:00:00 to 1:10:00). The weather was good for the most part, except from Pennsylvania all the way to the Bronx, before clearing up in Manhattan. This trip also includes driving through the solar eclipse of August 21 in Nebraska (at about 3:30:00), as well as driving over the old Tappan Zee Bridge in upstate NY, which permanently closed a month later with the opening of the new Mario M Cuomo Bridge adjacent to it. The states passed through are California (0:00:35-0:40:54) Arizona (0:40:54-1:40:26) New Mexico (1:40:26-1:41:09) Colorado (1:41:09-3:07:17) Nebraska (3:07:17-3:51:05) Iowa (3:51:05-4:24:17) Illinois (4:24:17-4:50:42) Indiana (4:50:42-5:10:51) Ohio (5:10:51-5:39:13) West Virginia (5:39:13-5:40:48 & 5:47:09-5:51:52) Pennsylvania (5:40:48-5:47:09 & 6:04:43-6:32:49) Maryland (5:51:52-6:04:43) New York (6:32:49-6:50:03) The highest elevation of the drive was 11,539 ft (3,517 m) at 2:28:10. The highest elevation anywhere on the U.S. interstate system is 11,158 ft (3,401 m) at 2:33:41. Both of these elevations are two of the three continental divide crossings; the other, at 2:04:38 (10,856 ft / 3,309 m), is the first. The hottest temperature of this trip was 110 F (43 C) in Needles, California (about 0:40:16), and the coldest temperature of this trip was 53 F (11 C) in Tusayan, Arizona (about 1:10:04) - only about 230 miles (370 km) from Needles. 20 WAYS TO TRAVEL FOR FREE! ...REALLY!

12:32
Think you can't afford to travel the world? Well I have 20 ways for you to see the world without spending a penny (mostly). Couchsurfing: www.couchsurfing.org WWOOFING: wwoofinternational.org Work away: www.workaway.info #1: Couchsurfing Couchsuring is an awesome way to connect with locals and get a bed/sofa for free! We can all appreciate a free bed for a night! Check out 10 Reasons Why You Should Try CouchSurfing! #2: WOOFING WOOFING is a great way to get to know a country and it’s culture by working a few hours a day in return for bed and board. Mainly set out on rural properties this is a very popular option for backpackers looking to save money! #3: Homestay/Work Away Similar to WOOFING, you do a few hours work in return for accommodation. Whether you are just helping around the house or assisting with your hosts business, you get your accommodation for free! #4: House Sitting Lots of people hate to leave their home unoccupied whilst they go away on holiday or for business. So, they like to have someone trustworthy to look after their place and maybe even ask for you to feed their pets! Completely free and you can find some pretty incredible places to look after! #5: Volunteer abroad There are a lot of volunteer options however most like to charge you to do it! Do plenty of research or contact an organisation directly to see if you can help them out in return for bed and board! #6: Dumpster Diving Hate how shopping centres throw away tonnes of perfectly edible food at the end of each day? Why not grab it for yourself! Just be aware that this is illegal in some countries so check before you dive on in! #7: Hitchhiking Seen by a lot of people to be dangerous, hitchhiking is a popular option for many travellers who want to travel long distances without spending a lot of money. #8: Work for Accommodation Lots of hostels especially in Australia offer a work exchange! Normally the hours are long and you will either be working the reception or cleaning toilets, however, as accommodation is your largest expense, it will save you a small fortune! #9: Free Food Bins Most hostels have big boxes situated in the kitchen area where backpackers can drop any unwanted food items before they check out. #10: Camping Want to be one with nature? Camping is a great option and sometimes can be completely free! #11: Exchange your skills Can you cut hair? Make bracelets? Do henna? Why not exchange these skills for a couple of bucks in your hostel or even a free drink? Great way to meet people, have fun and make a few extra bucks! #12: Work in a travel relate industry This is the big one. If you want to settle into a career and travel at the same time then there are a lot of options available to you! Why not work as a travel agent? A tour rep? Lots of careers will require you to move about and normally the company will cover all your costs! #13: Walk or Cycle The cost of transportation will significantly dent your bank balance, so why not opt to walk instead of taking the bus or hailing a taxi? Keeps you fit and is nicer on your budget! Why not challenge yourself to a big cycle cross-country? #14: Frequent flyer points It may take a bit of time but signing up to a programme will pay off in the end when you can get yourself a cheeky ticket to somewhere tropical for nothing! #15: Car sharing Check out local listing websites to see if any fellow travellers or even locals are looking for another person. Sometimes they like you to split the costs but sometimes they just want some company! You can travel a lot of miles and makes some awesome friends! #16: Car moving Car hire companies are always looking for people to relocate their cars. When someone hires a car in Melbourne and drops it in Sydney, they need someone to drive it back! Osaka Travel Tips: 10 Things to Know Before You Go to Osaka

16:51
Things YOU need to know before you travel to Osaka Japan. Osaka is the third most populated city in Japan with 2.7M in the city and 19 Million in the region. Osaka is often overlooked for Tokyo and Kyoto, but Osaka has its own charm that makes it a wonderful destination for visitors. Osaka is a welcoming, exciting, and place that should really be on your travel radar! Osaka is located on the main island of Honshu, roughly in the center of Japan. Osaka is a great place to base yourself when visiting Japan. In the centre of the Kansai region, landing at it’s international airport will place you within an hours local train journey to Kyoto, Nara and Kobe. Osaka is worth worth 3-5 days. 2- Food Osaka is famous in Japan for their food. Its nickname is “the nation’s kitchen”. Most well known: okonomiyaki, which is a dish made with meat, seafood, and noodles. Takoyaki, delicious fried octopus balls that are sure to curve your hunger cravings at night. Kushikatsu. Kushi refers to the bamboo skewers that the food is on and you can find meat, vegetable and even cheese varieties here. Don’t forget to dip your fried goods into the tonkatsu sauce (but strictly NO double dipping) And of course Ramen! Osaka is home to 200+ Michelin starred restaurants and Dontoburi is the epicentre of that. Aside from the delicious food, Osaka is also well known for its high quality Sake, or Japanese rice wine. The sake is made from fresh water that comes from the Osaka mountains 3-Kita (Umeda) North District One of 2 major districts in Osaka Newly rebuilt JR Osaka station is the heart Business and lots of Hotels Grand Front Osaka is amazing YenTenjimbashi-suji Shopping Street This 2.6km covered shopping arcade is the longest in Osaka Umeda Sky Building is one of the tallest and most impressive buildings in Osaka. It’s more like two buildings connected by a bridge at the top. There’s a great observation deck at the top called the Kuchu Teien (“Garden in the Sky”) Observatory. HEP 5 Ferris Wheel - 500 4- Minami (Namba) South District Osaka’s 2nd downtown Neon lights, crazy signs Japan's version of Times Square Shinsaibashi and Namba Dotombori Arcade runs parallel to the canal on the south side and it’s lined with some of Osaka’s most famous and largest restaurants, which compete for business with huge signs and giant mechanical crabs etc. Midosuji (shopping street) Osaka’s “main street,” Midosuji is a broad street All the major international luxury brands have outlets here Hozenji Yokocho (traditional alley) Two small blocks east of Midosuji and two small blocks south of the Dotombori Arcade, you’ll find one of the most beautiful streets in all of Osaka and it looks like it was magically transported from somewhere in Kyoto. Entering this street is like slipping 200 years back in time. Doguyasuji Arcade (kitchen and cooking supply shopping arcade) About five minutes’ walk southeast of Namba subway station (easily reached on foot from Dotombori Amerika Mura (trendy district) Amerika Mura (or “Amemura” to the locals) 5- Otaku Paradise Den Den Town. Osaka’s answer to Akihabara and not far from Namba station, here you’ll find all the weird and wonderful Japanese toys and manga you’ve heard about on the internet. Watch your step or you could unintentionally fall into adult-only territory. (Or intentionally, if that’s what you’re after.) Den-Den is the city’s electronics, camera, computer and pop culture shopping neighborhood. It’s about 10 minutes’ walk southwest of Namba Station, in Nippombashi, running roughly between Nippombashi and Ebisucho stations on the Sakaisuji subway line. Many of the shops here have someone on hand who can speak English, so don’t be afraid to ask for help when looking for something. 6- Language: 7- Escalators 8- Getting to Osaka 9- Getting Around Osaka 10 - Other big attractions in Osaka CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/yellowwsub You might enjoy watching some of these other videos: How to ride the subway and trains in Osaka: https://youtu.be/3FL83PhPY7U Or click here for my playlist of 80+ other fun and informative travel videos about Japan: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL14F9F774CE8798C3 Yellow Productions on Social Media: FACEBOOK: https://facebook.com/YellowProductionsTravel INSTAGRAM: https://instagram.com/yellowwproductions/ TWITTER: https://twitter.com/chrisraney GOOGLE+: https://google.com/+yellowwproductions Check out my blog: http://yelloww.net My video gear: Sony FDR-AX53 4K Handycam: http://amzn.to/2hYePVc Sony ECMW1M Wireless Microphone: http://amzn.to/2gQKDGG Samsung Gear 360 Camera: http://amzn.to/2hKKyGE LensPen Lens Cleaner: http://amzn.to/2hPYui1 Pacsafe LS250 Anti-theft Shoulder Bag: http://amzn.to/2h0YCNt Manfroto Pixi Mini Tripod: http://amzn.to/2ilJms6 Manfrotto Twist Grip Clamp: http://amzn.to/2hYEnyN Music: Easy Lemon Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)

18:20
Get info about things to do, where to stay, and the best food to eat on your visit to Tokyo, Japan. Here's the guide: https://migrationology.com/tokyo-travel-guide-for-food-lovers/ Tokyo (東京), Japan, is one of the world's greatest cities, and there's so much to do and see when you visit. From temples and shrines, to gardens and museums, you'll never run out of attractions. Out of all the things you could do, I've chosen a top 25 list for this awesome city (and just so you know food is my first choice in Tokyo)! 1. Ameya-Yokochō (アメヤ横丁) - A giant open air market that offers clothes, cosmetics, food, and restaurants and bars. 2. Meiji Shrine (明治神宮) - This Shinto shrine, surrounded by beautiful forest, is extremely significant. 3. Ryogoku Kokugikan (両国国技館) - Even if it's not fight season, you can go to the free sumo museum and eat sumo chankonabe. 4. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden (新宿御苑) - The garden is a beautiful attraction in Tokyo, with French gardens, Japanese gardens, and a green house. 5. Ginza (銀座) / Yurakucho (有楽町) - Ginza is a great area of town for upscale shopping and dining, while Yurakucho is famous for Izakaya bars and restaurants under the railroad track. 6. Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (東京都庁舎) - There are a lot of things to do in Tokyo where you have to pay, but here, you can go to the 45th floor for free. 7. Tsukiji Market (築地市場) - One of the most famous attractions in all of Tokyo is the Tsukiji Market (築地市場), the biggest seafood market in the world. 8. Shibuya (渋谷区) - With the busiest intersection in the world, Shibuya (渋谷区) is also home to shopping and restaurant. 9. Sumida River (隅田川) - At Tokyo's Sumida River, you can either just walk around the park and enjoy the riverside views, or you can take the Tokyo Cruise in a boat. 10. Tokyo Imperial Palace (皇居) - This is the home of the emperor of Japan. To enter the grounds, you have to make a tour booking on the official website 11. Ueno Park (上野公園), Tokyo National Museum (東京国立博物館) - Ueno Park is a huge public park in Tokyo with shrines, gardens and a number of museums. 12. Tokyo Skytree (東京スカイツリー) - They call it Tokyo's biggest attractions. It's a huge communications tower with various viewing decks and galleries. 13. Harajuku (原宿), Takeshita Street (竹下通り) - Famous for its street market and cosplay that takes place, this is a place in the city to see and be seen. 14. Senso-ji (金龍山浅草寺) - Visiting this temple is one of the top things to do in Tokyo, frequented by both tourists and religious pilgrims. It's the oldest temple in Tokyo. 15. Edo-Tokyo Museum (江戸東京博物館) - It looks a little like a UFO, but it's one of Tokyo's main museums, that aims to preserve the history of the city. 16. Fine Dining - Let's just face it, Tokyo is one of the best cities in the world for high class dining - atmosphere, presentation, food, it's all just stunning! 17. LONG LIFE FOOD in Hunza Valley - HEAVEN ON EARTH, Pakistan | Pakistani Food Tour!

31:58
SUBSCRIBE http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe for 2 new videos every week T-shirts and caps: https://goo.gl/6WdK1l Thank you to Ali (Pakistan Travel Market): https://goo.gl/VY6NjH I want to say a massive thank you to Ali (Pakistan Travel Market): https://goo.gl/VY6NjH Without him, this entire trip wouldn’t have been possible. Also, thank you to Hunza Serena Inn (https://www.serenahotels.com/serenahunza/en/default.html) for sponsoring our stay in Hunza Valley. The goal of today’s food tour was to uncover some of the secrets of the long life food of Hunza Valley. Especially traditionally, people were known to live very long and healthy lives - a combination of eating seasonally, lots of nuts, and apricots, and fresh mountain air - we also discovered a few dishes that must have led to long life. But we began our day in Gilgit, and first thing at daybreak, we drove about 20 minutes outside of Gilgit to start our morning from a strategic viewpoint. There’s a confluence where three of the highest mountain ranges in the world - Himalayas (Mount Everest), Karakorams (K2), and Hindu Kush, mountains come together. It’s a magical place, and we were literally the only people there. We then headed back to Serena Gilgit Hotel for breakfast before starting our day to Hunza Valley. The drive was spectacular from start to finish - you will literally feel your jaw dropping as you drive and you almost cannot believe the scenery will possibly get better… and it does. Chapshoro Point - Along the Karakoram Highway from Gilgit to Hunza Valley one of the most famous foods is chapshoro, a meat filled dough pocket. It’s a great tea snack - and we’d be having a few more of these today. Total price - 900 PKR ($6.74) Hunza Valley - We arrived to Hunza Valley and immediately checked in to Hunza Serena Inn, with an almost unbelievable view from our patio. Baltit Fort - We quickly hiked up to Baltit Fort, a spectacular and iconic fort within Hunza Valley and then walked down for a quick bite to eat. Hunza Food Pavilion - Just a small little cosy restaurant, yet so inviting and so many good aromas coming out of the kitchen. We ordered chapshoro again, and daodo soup, both of which were amazing. Total price - 630 PKR ($4.72) Osho Maraka - Hunza Serena Inn - We then headed back to the hotel where they wanted to prepare a local Hunza Valley food lunch for us. The food was good, a little on the plain side for me, but very fresh and local ingredients. Eagles Nest - Next we drove up one of the main mountains of Hunza Valley for the view. Although we were late for the sunset, the view was still spectacular. Traditional Hunza Valley food - In the evening is when the real authentic Hunza Valley food and cultural learning began. We were invited (thanks to the Gilgit Baltistan tourism ministry for setting it up) to a 400 year old home for a time of music and local Hunza Valley food. The old home was beautiful, and they immediately started playing amazing local music. The food was authentic and local - lots of whole grains, walnuts and almonds, and plenty of apricot oil. One of the dishes, a tortilla like bread filled with walnut paste and apricot oil was one of the secret dishes of longevity - so I was told! Whatever the case, the food, people, and experience, was outstanding. By this time I have to stay I was tired, cold, and ready to go back to the hotel to sleep, but they said, we need to stop at one more place. It was completely dark, and looked abandoned. But we stepped inside a home, and there were at least 20 people huddled in the house, waiting for us. I was blown away and humbled. They made us tea and a few local pancake like snacks. It was beyond special. Thank you to everyone involved, and to the families for their amazing hospitality and kindness. Another absolutely incredible day of food and people in Pakistan. Washington, DC to Seattle, WA: A Complete Road Trip

10:59:06
This video begins in Washington, DC in the early morning hours of May 3, 2018 and concludes in Tacoma, WA, just south of Seattle, in the late morning of May, 6, 2018. The drive was 3,084 miles (4,963 kilometers). All of this video was recorded in real-time, but this video is played back at 4x time-lapse speed. (The real-time and hyper-lapse versions of this video will be uploaded in several parts soon.) Nearly all of this entire video was done in the daytime; however, there is about a 20-minute section between Caldwell, Idaho and eastern Oregon done in darkness as it was before sunrise. The states passed through are District of Columbia (0:00:20-0:02:02) Virginia (0:02:02-0:52:00) West Virginia (0:52:00-1:36:28) Kentucky (1:36:28-2:18:16) Indiana (2:18:16-2:44:19) Illinois (2:44:19-3:11:01) Missouri (3:11:01-4:10:05) Kansas (4:10:05-5:34:14) Colorado (5:34:14-7:17:47) Utah (7:17:47-8:27:32) Idaho (8:27:32-9:20:40) Oregon (9:20:40-10:04:18) Washington (10:04:18-10:58:48) The highest elevation of the drive was 11,158 feet (3,401 meters) at the Eisenhower Tunnel in Colorado (6:22:45). The hottest temperature of the drive was 86 F (30 C) between western West Virginia and eastern Kentucky, as well as near Jerome, Idaho. The coldest temperature of the drive was 24 F (-5 C) at Vail Pass, Colorado (6:27:55). This video is a long time coming, but it is finally uploaded. This is the first of many videos I will be uploading in the upcoming months. Unlike the CA-NY video, this video was entirely done in one trip with the same vehicle - a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. Also, this video was shot using the Garmin Virb Ultra 30, which records GPS information. The position, elevation, and heading are shown on the video. Since 2/3 of all viewers of my videos are from outside the U.S., I set everything to metric. I plan to use English units for the real-time versions, however. Day 1 of this video in real-time can be found here: https://youtu.be/eD8dJDo86Jw Day 2 of this video in real-time can be found here: https://youtu.be/bo9R9ourxjg Day 3 of this video in real-time can be found here: https://youtu.be/3pi9dy6VGqk Day 4 of this video in real-time can be found here: https://youtu.be/pqFnZxDLxHc

My Daily Life In NORTH KOREA (MYSTERIOUS 7 DAY TRIP)

14:36
UPDATE - one year after visiting North Korea I traveled to South Korea and made a video comparing my experiences in both of these two countries. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJUSIWSaQX4 I've always been very interested in North Korea because it seemed to be one of the most unique and mysterious countries in the whole world. This is my day to day life throughout the 7 days that I spent in North Korea. You can never be sure whether things were staged or not in North Korea because you are only shown what they want you to see. You can't choose where or when you will be going to specific places, they simply tell you to hop on a bus and ask you to get off at one point or another. That is why I didn't want to offer my opinion about whether things were staged or not, whether they were good or not, or honest or not. My goal was to show you what my day to day life looked like when I was there and let you make up your own mind and judge for yourself. Do not judge North Korea only from what you see in this video. This is what they showed us and there's a reason they show some things and not show the others. Also, knowing how much control they exercise over the population, everything could have been staged only for us. My favorite books about North Korea: Dear Leader by Jang Jin Sung - http://amzn.to/2vEkrrE; Escape From Camp 14 by Blaine Harden - http://amzn.to/2vEz6U1; Nothing To Envy by Barbara Demick - http://amzn.to/2vzieiI; 1984 by George Orwell (I couldn't believe how similar some things in North Korea looked to the ones in the book) - http://amzn.to/2vE92s8. Washington DC Travel Tips: 10 Things to Know Before You Go to DC

20:01
Things you NEED to know BEFORE you go to Washington DC. DC is often referred to as "The District." You could easily spend a week in DC, especially if you want to see George Washington’s house in Mount Vernon and Thomas Jefferson’s house in Monticello. The City is laid out in a grid pattern with lettered streets running east-west, numbered streets running north-south. Diagonal streets — usually named after states — often intersect at circles (30 circles) Dupont Circle is my favorite circle. Comprised of four quadrants (NE, NW, SE, and SW), which spread out from the U.S. Capitol. Getting in There are three Airports -- none of them actually in DC Reagan (DCA) -- right next to DC -- connected by Metro or $20 Cab Ride Washington Dulles (IAD) Baltimore-Washington (BWI) Amtrak to Union Station Or Drive Transportation in DC Walk One of the 10 of the most walkable cities in the USA Travel + Leisure rated D.C. as the third rudest city in America, Metro Smart Trip Card Capital Bike Share 175 stations across the city Sign up for a day, or three Taxis/Uber plentiful Driving: Beware -- traffic is miserable and oneway streets abound Parking is expensive -- Use parking panda Museums Smithsonians are free Most on the national mall Air and Space has 2 locations -- one by Dulles Newseum and Spy Museum are expensive My favorite is the Bureau of Engraving and Printing No reservations required September 5, 2017 through March 2, 2018 Washington Monument elevator is really cool -- but it’s often broken Best gift shops are in the museums Government Stuff Capitol Building or the White House, make sure to book your tickets in advance. Capitol tour, reservations online or through your Congressional representative or senator. Capitol Visitor Center provides a limited number of day-passes starting at 9 a.m. White House, reserve a few months before your trip. Thru congressional representative. Time to visit Cherry Blossom Season Not the summer when all the school kids are there And the Summer is oppressively hot and humid, especially in August And maybe not when the govt is in full swing I like Winter -- no crowds at all Hotels Can be really expensive, as can parking My favorites are the Park Hyatt and the Mayflower Stay outside of DC in Arlington or Alexandria for cheaper hotels Just a short metro ride in to the city Food The national mall and monument area has almost no food Union Station and Le’fant plaza good for lunch, or around the white house Avoid the Chinese food in Chinatown -- it’s all really awful But George Bush’s favorite Chinese restaurant is just 20 minutes driving outside of DC Peking Gourmet Inn in Fall Church -- Awesome Peking Duck My Favorites: Potbelly My Favorites: Moby Dick House of Kabob My Favorites: Ben’s Chili Bowl DC is more than just monuments and the National Mall Get out and see the real DC Georgetown Penn Quarter Adams Morgan Smithsonian Zoo U Street Walk the red line Timecodes: DC General: 00:27 DC City Layout: 01:37 Getting in to DC: 02:35 Transportation in DC: 03:59 DC Museums: 06:02 Government Stuff: 08:51 Best time to visit DC: 10:05 DC Hotels: 11:43 DC Food: 13:51 The Rest of DC: 18:20 CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/yellowwsub You might enjoy watching some of my other USA Travel Videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOVadUHX1B-Kv1gRgHpJoe33hGodcPi8R Yellow Productions on social media: FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/YellowProductionsTravel INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/yellowwproductions/ TWITTER: ChrisRaney GOOGLE+: https://google.com/+yellowwproductions Check out my blog at: http://yelloww.net Yellow Productions Merchandise: https://www.teepublic.com/user/yellowproductions Music: Easy Lemon Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)

10 things you must know before you travel to London in the United Kingdom. First, the City of “London” is technically a one square mile area, with only 7,400 residents. But the larger london has 8.6 Million Residents in 32 boroughs. Big Ben refers to the bell, not the tower. The tower is called “Elizabeth Tower” The country is called the “United Kingdom” -- England is a part of the UK. Great Britain is an old name when it used to be called “United Kingdom of Great Britain” 2 - When to go: Low season is between January and February with average daily highs around 8C or 46F Shoulder season is between mid-September and November and then again in March and April. Shoulder Season. Mild weather, light jacket. Cheapest hotels are Jan-March, but often with wind and constant rain Summer prepare for thunderstorms and crowds. But probably the best time to go. Average highs are 24C/75F. The “city” can make it hot and humid in the summer. 3 - Money: Great British Pound, aka pound sterling, aka quid 1 GBP is $1.30 or 1.12 EUR A pound is composed of 100 pence, referred to as “pee” A five pound note is a fiver(smallest note), and 10 is a tenner Credit cards are generally accepted, but may require “chip and pin” ATMS are plentiful VAT is about 20% -- and yes, they have a tax back scheme 4 - Getting in: 6 airports serve London Main airports, Heathrow and Gatwick Ryan Air and Easy Jet fly in to Stansted (it’s about an hour out) Due to London's huge global city status it is the most served destination in the world when it comes to flights. But some connections may be between airports. DONT DO IT! Heathrow is home to British Airways that operates 40 percent of flights. From Heathrow the fastest way in to the city is the Heathrow Express -- it takes 15 minutes in to the city at Paddington Station, and leaves every 15 minutes. Station at Terminal 4, and another for Terms 1,2,3. It costs 22 GBP. Star Alliance Gold gets free Business/First upgrade. Also can take the Tube, on the Piccadilly line. It’ll take an hour. Gatwick is London's 2nd airport and is the world's busiest single runway airport From Gatwick the fastest way is the Gatwick Express, it takes 30 minutes in to London Victoria Station. Also every 15 minutes. No tube at Gatwick. A taxi will cost you about 55-65 GBP from Heathrow Rail fares to London vary enormously from very cheap to prohibitively expensive - the golden rules are to book Advance tickets for a particular train time, don't travel into the city on Friday afternoons and Sundays, and avoid buying tickets on the day of travel. London has one international high speed rail route (operated by Eurostar ) rom Paris (2h 15min) and Brussels (1h 50 min) diving under the sea for 35 km (22 mi) via the Channel Tunnel to come out in England. It terminates at St. Pancras International Station. Whatever you do.. don't drive! 5 - Getting Around: It’s all about the tube, officially known as the London Underground Buy an oyster card Daily cap, or buy a 7-day card You use the Oyster Card for busses too Take the double decker busses, tap when you get on. Don’t tap off. Peak times are Monday to Friday between 06:30 and 09:30 and between 16:00 and 19:00. off-peak rate is much cheaper. Download the Citymapper app to help with navigation London Black Taxis are world famous Uber is also an option, though black cabs can be faster, they use bus lanes Santandar Bicycles -- first 30 minutes are 2 GBP, every next 30 mins is free if you return it. The best way to get around is your feet though! Central london is quite compact Make sure to pay attention to the “look left/look right” signs before crossing the street 6 - Food: 7 - Tipping: Restaurants: Standard is 12.5%, 15% for good service. No tip of there is a service charge Cabs -- round up.. Or 10%. No tip in bars and pubs for drinks, unless you order food. Doormen, bellhops a pound. 8 - Language: It’s english, but it’s British English. 9 - Shopping: 10 - Museums: CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/yellowwsub You might enjoy watching some of these other videos from London: Best Cheap Eats London: https://youtu.be/RlNIp45Irjc 10 Best Free Things to Do in London: https://youtu.be/O5o8vgBdZPk Camden Market in London: https://youtu.be/efHdgV1slqU Weird things to do in London: https://youtu.be/R-EK4oF4zQI Yellow Productions on Social Media: FACEBOOK: https://facebook.com/YellowProductionsTravel INSTAGRAM: https://instagram.com/yellowwproductions/ TWITTER: https://twitter.com/chrisraney GOOGLE+: https://google.com/+yellowwproductions Check out my blog: http://yelloww.net Music: (killertracks.com) UPM_KT300_5_Hey_Get_Up_Main_Track_Synowiec_846501 UPM_NYB119_11_The_Tiptoe_Strut_Main_Track_Kron_915645

10 Travel Tips for Calgary, Banff & Alberta in Canada

06:06
These are my carefully selected top 10 travel tips for Calgary & Alberta and includes the best places, travel tips and things to do in Banff & Calgary ranging from the most famous hot dog, a helicopter ride with Rockies Heli Tours to the most beautiful place in Canada called Lake Louise. Subscribe to my channel ► https://bit.ly/2aeuh9b for weekly videos! Maps, address, photos & my personal advise on my blog: http://www.reformatt.com/10-travel-tips-calgary-alberta I decided to visit my friends from Holland who were exploring the Canadian Rockies with their RV, before chasing them down in Banff I treated myself on the most famous hot dog in Canada at Tubby Dog and tried to break the glass floor at the Calgary Tower. Photos, guide, maps & details on my blog: http://www.reformatt.com/10-travel-tips-calgary-alberta It was such a memorable experience meeting my Dutch friends on the other side of the world so we decided to do it up proper with a family BBQ and a few local brewski's, namely the Powder Hound by The Grizzly Paw which is a local brewery in Canmore, Alberta. On our first adventure we left in the early morning to take the Banff Gondola to Sulphur Mountain, one of the most mesmerizing views of Banff. Make sure to fill up prior on a classic Canadian breakfast at Tim Hortons, the Canadian way. The next adventure was a private helicopter ride at Rockies Heli Canada who took us from Kananaskis through the Rocky Mountains. It was a gorgeous clear day which resulted in excellent video footage. We even saw the same river where they shot the movie: The Revenant. What also amazed us were the buck loads of wildlife passing by the RV throughout our stay at Banff's tunnel mountain campgrounds. In next week's article I will give you all the details on our adventure at Lake Louise were I completed an 11 hour, 20 kilometer hike, thus best is to relax and relieve your sore muscles at Banff Upper Hot Springs after that trip. In conclusion we were very fortunate that we had excellent weather with blue skies the entire trip. I highly recommend visiting Calgary, Banff & Lake Louise in the first week of June for the best experience. Street Food in Gilgit + PAKISTANI VILLAGE FOOD | Ultra Happiness in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan!

20:56
SUBSCRIBE http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe for 2 new videos every week T-shirts and caps: https://goo.gl/6WdK1l Thank you to Ali (Pakistan Travel Market): https://goo.gl/VY6NjH Thank you to Gilgit Serena Hotel (https://www.serenahotels.com/serenagilgit/en/default.html) for sponsoring our stay. This video includes Day 9 and 10 of our Pakistani food tour trip (you can watch the entire video series here: https://youtu.be/Xdya8eym9nM). I combined the two days because things didn’t work out as planned on Day 9, and so didn’t end up being able to film much. But that’s the way things go sometimes! So firstly, on Day 9, the plan was to drive from Shigar to to Deosai National Park, and drive all the way through the park to the other side, en-route to Gilgit. Unfortunately it started snowing along the way, and by the time we arrived to the entrance of the park, it was snowing too hard, and it was too risky to proceed. So we turned around and took the long way to Gilgit. Gilgit, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan - Ok, so now back to today (Day 10) we started the morning with a street food tour of Gilgit. Gilgit is an amazing small town, sort of the gateway of Gilgit Baltistan, and a commerce hub for the region on the Karakoram highway. The town is extremely friendly, and everywhere we went to eat on this small market and street food tour, we were greeted with such friendliness and hospitality. Kabuli pulao - 140 PKR ($1.04) Grilled meat - 120 PKR ($0.89) Curry - 120 PKR ($0.89) After about an hour eating street food and walking around the market, we continued on to Nizam’s house, which was about a 15 minute drive from the center of Gilgit. Nizam is an employee of Ali, and he graciously invited us to his amazing home in the countryside. The view from the backyard was breathtaking. We first went to the river valley to pick vegetables where we met Nizam’s father in law, who again may be the happiest man on earth - he was amazing pounding the chilies. We picked vegetables, and just stood in amazement at the natural wonder beauty of Pakistan. Lunch was incredibly delicious, all the fresh vegetables we picked, plus both mutton and beef curry, with rice and roti. The curries were some of the best I ate in Pakistan, but the fresh mountain vegetables, sauteed down with dried tomato, were the highlight. An incredible meal, really one of the most memorable I had in my entire trip to Pakistan. Thank you Nizam and family for the amazing meal! Raw - Food Road Trip - 100% raw for the whole journey - You can do it too!

08:47
We traveled from Mendocino California to Vail Co and ate only raw food the whole 3 day trip! Eating raw is one of the most amazing things you can do for your mind, body and soul. Your will feel the raw energy flowing through your blood. When you eat food in its raw state, it keeps the needed enzymes that help your body digest and receive all the nutrients. The first step is to plan your raw food road trip by planning your stops ahead of time and researching where you are going to pick up your raw meals. We had so much fun and felt awesome when we arrived to our new home!
