I wouldn't. There are a few chinese products that are good, such as drones dji and some products from huawei. But there cars are garbage. There where a few improvement, but even french (renault, Peugeot and citroën) and italian (fiat) cars are better than a chinese car. I buy a Honda or a Toyota. Also Korean brands such as Kia and Hyundai have have alot to improve, even though the koreans are way ahead of their chinese counterparts.

things are getting cheaper when chinese companies got in to the market. 8 years ago, i did spend so much money on my road bike parts, cos they was make in us, japan or canada. nowadays, bike parts are so easy to get and with good reasonable price. like most of people, i was worried about the quality of them but after i use them, they are just as good as made in japan and us. not much different. but the price is only 20% of made in us or japan. i don't fking care things are from where. made in us china or japan, but you got tell me why your products are 80% more expensive.

Chinese cars are tough and being mordernised by the day. I'd certainly buy a sedan or a SUV.

Whole china companies are called Reverse Engineering company. they steal everything from world companies.with help of Government to do so.
Nicol GREEN (3 days ago)
They are willing to pay, but western companies or countries are not selling it.
Kanan Raval (5 days ago)
Hello Guys, I would like to tell you, i am working in automobile company more than 14 years, this all Chinease companies steal technology from Germany , South korea, Japan, Sweeden, & USA . I have monitored closely those all brands vehicles and come to knew this.. all are made by Called Reverse Engineering. they just copied, about price !! Cars from original inventor of technology is expensive bcs they put billions of billions on reaserch and development and they put brain effort and time. However china done reverse engineering with help of Chinese govrnmnt political influence and pressure in local market to run a bussiness for foreign companies bcz high volume sell they got advantage to do so.. they made it via this way.

I had bad experience with DongFeng bought a 2014 4 wheeler close van truck, underpower, electrical problems, tranny problems, rusting and limited parts. But still running after repair on repair. Hope they will improve soon
vince King (2 days ago)
Nah they will improve. I am 16 and have a taiwainese 3d printer and some Chinese stuff. The stuff I have got is very good for the price point. The chinese make some of the best brands now, DJI, Lenovo and more. The issue is that they used to/still do make alot of junk(often for Western Companies), copy other designs, and don't have recognizable brands. The taiwainese seem a bit ahead in that aspect: Giant, XYZ printing, ASUS and more. My ASUS and Giant are built well but are a bit crude in places... Overall though it will all catch up like the Japanese stuff did.

Yes, I would. The Chinese product has came a long way, from cheap and nasty to cheap and good. You can buy a similar quality goods from the so call first world country. The problem is they cost 10 time more than chinese one. I deal with expensive machine for manufacturing came from these first world country everyday, and believe me they do not worth the money you are paying for.

Everything people buy 1st whether they can aford then only see the quality of if everything is not bad or good they would buy.

I love that maroon coupe at the end of the video it looks like my Crossfire and Mustang . If China made a cheaper version that is safe and economical and tech ready and sporty 2 door coupe that don't rust away in a year.. I would buy. because I keep a car for over 15 yrs. Im done with American made cars due to not being made well and the manufacturer like Ford would not take care of problems that they are well known even under warranty. my first new car was a Ford in 2011 and never will I own another Ford product.

Chinese cars suck. They produce alot of copy cat cars and thier cars don't last like the Japanese, US and European cars.
The Mythbuster (10 days ago)
+Janirus Paul In that case I can only says you are terribly outdated in your information about China vehicle. 😂😂😂 Check it out. https://carnewschina.com/2018/05/07/what-is-great-walls-new-ora-ev-brand-all-about/#more-84790 https://carnewschina.com/2018/05/03/top-10-concept-cars-of-the-2018-beijing-auto-show/#more-84711 Annual vehicle sales in China is 29 million. That is why GM and Ford opts China over USA where the top sellers are all pickup only. 😀😀😀
Janirus Paul (10 days ago)
The Mythbuster Nope. I know what I'm saying. Only thier trucks are kinda durable and that's because some borrowed European parts and technology is used in them. But thier normal vehicles don't last at all and they do a lot of copy. The Chinese are not creative at all when it comes to designing cars. They always copy designs from other cars...

Chinese cars are better than Korean cars.
icecold723 (10 days ago)
+Aditya Madiraja Korean cars used to be reliable circa Kia Pride days, but as they become more commercialized and improve their technology. Their quality is continuously decline and I don't know why.
The Mythbuster (11 days ago)
+Aditya Madiraja They are both a choice - China made cars vs Korean cars. Which is better? Which manufacturers? China for instance have more than 100 car makers and many brands. Heard of Lynk and Co. It is a Chinese brand by Chery. Supposed to be tested as the safest car in the world today. But some are really bad but some beats even the best in the world. So be more specific in your comment. You are both right and wrong. 😀

The same BS people said about Chinese Made products were said by their grand parents about Made in Japan products. 😂
It would actually be really interesting to see how Chinese cars might do in the North American market. My best bet, Chinese cars would sell the best in Canada, since imported Chinese products are increasingly popular there, with sales in the Southern US and Mexico not far behind. Chinese cars are already popular, and are very competitive against other import models in South America.
+The Mythbuster I know, my statement was hypothetical.
The Mythbuster (15 days ago)
Trade barriers by USA do not allowed China brand cars to be in USA although China made Volvo is allowed in USA. China cars have 5 star in NCAP testing.
Daniel Scheinhaus (1 month ago)
Before buying a Chinese company made car I would need to read evaluations of their vehicles. An evaluation by Consumer's Union in the US would be very helpful. Reports about satisfaction or dissatisfaction by car owners would also be helpful.
Charles (8 days ago)
would you do that if you were to buy an american car?
The Mythbuster (11 days ago)
I have read their breakdown and maintenance statistics as submitted by Chinese Consumers Association themselves. They have improved a lot. Based on what I read, many Chinese car manufacturers have reached Japanese reliability level compared with their dismay breakdown records says 10 year ago. The Chinese consumers appears to be quite demanding and sophisticated nowadays. 🤔

Chinese car nowadays are very good but, not innovative. I own new geely emgrand ec7 in 2014 and I still using it now. Very good car . It only need fuel, oil and filters. 5 years and 100k . One drawback is the experience . You drive it like a Toyota Camry in 1995. So, you bought a used car as new brand in new condition.

Trump will not like Chinese products for sure. But nothing much can he do? Because US has a lot to lose nowadays. The shift of world power is obvious , needless to say. Congrats on Chinese products.

honestly i wonder if they should just double down on electric vehicles they already have the strongest market share for it
Keith Melton (4 months ago)
Well lets face it, every motor company is basically pushing out light weight, high tech vehicles, so we have to look at who has better longevity with computers, safety units, best price for consumers, all this comes into play. For me it is a hard no for right now. only on the facts that I personally have not looked all the attention to details on any one of the brands in this video, but I think future markets will eventually place cars like these in the American market, and if they have what it take they will double there sales. Only if we do like Trump and level the tariffs!
You're not wrong about high-tech, but cars have actually gotten heavier despite the increased use of Polymers, aluminum, and plastics in their construction. The increased amount of safety equipment is one reason. Certain companies have gotten to making their cars lighter, but most current models of cars are significantly heavier than their predecessors. A great example of this is the current MX-5 "Miata" to the previous Miata. Manufacturers are trying to make them lighter though, with upcoming and future models planned to be lighter than their predecessors, but still heavier than other previous models.

Chinese cars are developing rapidly but need 10 years to compete
