This cake looks slapped together. Doesn't look like it's been done with care at all. won't be making anytime soon as it is so not attrative. Perhaps a little effort would of gone a long way with the decorating. 😕😑

This was about how to make the frosting.... they have plenty of cake decorating videos if that’s what you want to see.... stop acting like people own you something and get off your ass and do it yourself smh
Starforsaken101 (1 year ago)
Or maybe this video's demonstrating the frosting and it doesn't fucking matter.
Ami131531 (2 years ago)
The advantage of this type of frosting/icing is it's not expensive it don't cost too much. But it is too glossy and not sturdy to look when it comes to decorating/piping but still good though because it's not too sweet compared to buttercream. :)
aminath lauza (2 years ago)
I thought there was butter in Italian meringue buttercream
aminath lauza (2 years ago)
Thanks good to know I thought it was the same thing does this dry hard or semi soft or just like butter cream. It looks Sooo glossy it so yummy looking
Ami131531 (2 years ago)
+aminath lauza There is butter in Italian Meringue Buttercream. But in Italian Meringue/Boiled icing there's no butter. :)
aminath lauza (2 years ago)
I thought there was butter in Italian meringue buttercream
Belen Corso (2 years ago)
its easy to make and the most delicious frosting I've tasted in my life!!! I wouldn't replace meringue for anything else as frosting!
aminath lauza (2 years ago)
I didn't know that before I saw the video. The frosting looks like it will melt soon but looks yummy.
Belen Corso (2 years ago)
+aminath lauza that is because this is an italian meringue frosting recipe not italian meringue buttercream, they taste different too, italian meringue is very fluffy and melts in a few hours so needs to be eaten as soon as its made.
Anne Apolis (2 years ago)
Me too. I was waiting for the sticks of almost room temp butter to be mixed in while the wire whip was going. Am I in the Twilight Zone?

Is this like the old 7 minute frosting?
Nepeta Leijon (2 years ago)
+See Canon It's actually a bit different- the old 7 minute one is buttercream, while this one is just a typical frosting
Kt Amon (2 years ago)
Yep
Searean Moon (2 years ago)
watching you do the piping is always the best part for me, too bad it fast-forwarded this time! But looks delicious, like it would taste of marshmallows!

+Arejay fortyseven thanks! I have seen a few of her videos before but cannot remember her channel name. Do you know?
[email protected] (2 years ago)
+Arejay fortyseven thank you for the information. Do you prefer the taste of this icing over other buttercream icing? Does this icing get a crispy-like crust on the outside?
Julie Smith (2 years ago)
hi, did you use all that cream for this small cake?
Liandra musica bsta (2 years ago)

Helen L. (2 years ago)
Is this edible raw? Also, is there a substitute for sugar that still gives the texture but is less sweet or could we just halve the sugar?
Helen L. (2 years ago)
+massysm Thanks!
massysm (2 years ago)
+Helen L. The heat of the syrup cooks the egg whites. If you are still concerned, you can use pasteurized egg whites.
N Sal (2 years ago)

honeyz (2 years ago)
does this buttercream crust when it dries? and can we use it underneath fondant?
honeyz (2 years ago)
ok thanks for that👍
massysm (2 years ago)
+honeyz It is not a buttercream. I have tried it using under fondant but it doesn't look good on large cakes, buttercream is better for that. You can use on cupcakes plus fondant and they'll look nice.
wow i liked ♥♥♥
Sumayya Patel (2 years ago)
This is actually the easiest version I've seen.

I love how u didn't put tones of butter and u left it as it is .
Maryam Mohamed (2 years ago)
can u sustistute the tartar with something else we don't have it in my country
Jed Smith (1 year ago)
1/2 tsp of white vinegar per egg works too!I've tried it several times.
Maryam Mohamed (2 years ago)
+Sarah Wong ok thank u I'm just a beginner
Sarah Wong (2 years ago)
No problem. You can honestly skip the salt all together and just whip the egg whites and sugar. Look up other tutorials too. You instead of heating the sugar and water you can also heat the egg and sugar together but not to cool the egg just warm enough to melt the sugar into the egg. Look it up ☺ much easier ways to do this!
Maryam Mohamed (2 years ago)
+Sarah Wong oh sorry I didn't read the pinch hehe 😊
